Paragould Families!! We are putting together a discount card fundraiser for 10+ travel teams here in Paragould and are looking for more businesses to participate.

The card is a simple fundraiser that helps players cover travel costs. Local businesses offer a small discount (anything from 10% off to a free drink, appetizer, etc.), and families sell the cards. Families keep 100% of the proceeds and every card sold helps reduce player fees for the season.

We already have 7 local businesses committed, but the more businesses we add, the more valuable the card becomes and the easier it is for families to raise money.

If you’re in the Paragould area, drop a comment and tag restaurants or local businesses you’d love to see on the card. It can be anything. Coffee shops, restaurants, gyms, boutiques, car washes, etc.

If you own a business or know someone who does and might want to participate, message us. It costs businesses nothing to be included and it’s a great way to support local kids and get new customers through the door.

What a great first day of Jump Start in the books!! Big thanks to all of the players and parents who participated.

Last week was about getting everyone settled in, teaching our rules, and showing players how game days will run.

Jump Start Parents,

Reminder: Games will be played at Williams Baptist University this Saturday.

INFO RECAP:
Please be sure that you have downloaded the “Playbook Connect” app from the App Store or Google Play and sign in using your Playbook account.

Inside the app you will find:
• Your child’s team assignment
• Game schedule and times
• Team chat
• League announcements and updates

This is our primary communication tool. Please ensure at least one parent or guardian has notifications turned on.

Arrival & What to Expect

• Arrive 10–15 minutes before your first scheduled game
• Jerseys will be handed out at the front before your child’s first game
• Teams will meet on the court at their scheduled time and begin their practice.

Jump Start Day Format

Each team will have two game slots, same as a normal league day. During each slot:
• Short fundamentals instruction/practice at the beginning
• Instructional scrimmage to learn our league's rules
• No official scores kept

Official, scored games begin the following league day.

Parent Role

There is no coaching responsibility for parents.
We do ask that one parent sits on the bench during games to help supervise players.

Practice

Jump Start does not include weekday practices. Practice and on court instruction is built into every league day.

Teams may organize additional practices on their own if they choose:

Grade-specific practice plans are available for all divisions
Any team holding practices must secure their own gym time
Local schools and churches are common and successful options

Paragould League Families,

Games are ON this weekend and the current schedule for 2/21 remains the same.

We are waiting on final confirmation from an in-town gym. If that does not work out, games will be played at Williams Baptist University. Either way, the season is starting this Saturday.

We are also waiting on the completion of a privately owned local gym just outside of Paragould and hope to transition there as soon as it becomes available. This will likely be a week-to-week update for now.

As a thank you for your patience, every player will receive a gift from Be Elite this weekend. Final location confirmation will be shared by Wednesday.

Paragould League Families,

We want to share an update about the league start.

After the winter weather disruptions that caused the initial schedule change, gyms across the area are still packed with rescheduled peewee, junior high, and district games. We were informed after our earlier announcement this week that the facility we planned to use is no longer available and, despite reaching out to every option in the area, there is not a single gym available for this weekend.

Because of that, the league will not begin this weekend as scheduled.

We have successfully run three seasons in Paragould and apologize for this unprecedented scheduling issue. We are finalizing gym access in writing so the season can begin on the next league date on February 21 and continue without interruption. We also have a fully confirmed backup facility secured for every remaining league weekend if needed, and location details will be shared soon.

We appreciate you bearing with us through this unusual situation. To thank families for their patience, every player will receive a gift from Be Elite along with their jerseys once the season begins.

Your registration and team placement remain unchanged. More details will be shared as soon as the facility is finalized.

Jump Start Basketball Update - Paragould Families

Due to inclement weather this weekend and how close all divisions are to forming with no grade combining, we’ve decided to push the start of our league back two weeks. This also helps limit the number of weekends that overlap with other area leagues.

This change gives us the time needed to fully round out each division as planned. Just a few additional registrations from each school would help tremendously, so please spread the word and invite any classmates who aren’t already playing.

Team Placement and the Schedule will now be sent out on 2/2!

Follow along as we roll out details on how the Be Elite Pathways Foundation will directly support families, athletes, and communities across Arkansas!

We’re excited to officially introduce the Be Elite Pathways Foundation.

Pathways was created to help remove financial barriers and keep high-quality youth sports accessible for families across Arkansas.

What this means for parents:
• Scholarships for qualifying athletes to help cover participation and travel costs across partnered basketball and volleyball programs, including leagues, travel teams, and training
• More opportunities for kids to compete close to home instead of expensive out-of-state travel
• Strong local programs and events that keep costs down while maintaining a high level of competition

Our goal is simple: make sure cost isn’t the reason a kid misses out on opportunity.

This is a long-term commitment to families and communities across Arkansas.
