Every tournament provides an opportunity to compete, grow on the field, be a better player, teammate and friend, but more importantly it provides an opportunity to show everyone around the ball park what is truly the top of the order for Battleline Baseball. That is the love of Jesus Christ. Before every game players are prayed over and reminded that they are loved. Even when tournaments are on Sundays and players can’t make it to Church, you have to bring the Church to them. It’s not JUST about baseball.

⚾ COACH SPOTLIGHT — JOSH EVERETT ⚾

Coach Josh Everett’s love for baseball is what first drew him into coaching, but it’s the impact on players that keeps him here.

For Coach Josh, the game is about far more than wins and losses. It’s about helping young athletes grow in confidence, learn resilience, handle adversity, and become better teammates and people along the way.

“The most important thing I want players to learn is accountability and resilience. Baseball is a game of failure, and life can be too. Learning how to respond after mistakes, encourage your teammates, and keep showing up with a good attitude are lessons that carry way beyond the field.”

Coach Josh credits much of his coaching style to his dad and his college coach, Jeremy Haworth and coaches who pushed him to compete while also making him feel valued as a person. That balance of high standards, encouragement, and strong relationships is something he works to bring to Battleline every day.

One of the moments he’s most proud of as a coach isn’t always found on a scoreboard. Sometimes it’s seeing a player overcome fear, regain confidence after struggling, or watching teammates support one another without being asked.

And if his coaching style had a walk-up song?

“God’s Gonna Cut You Down” by Johnny Cash.

“It was my walk-out song in college, and it still fits the attitude I take to the field calm but intimidating.”

Behind every team chasing big dreams is a community that chooses to stand behind them. We want to give a huge thank you to Larry’s Auto Sales in Paragould for supporting Battleline Baseball.

Youth sports are about so much more than what happens on the scoreboard. They teach hard work, accountability, confidence, teamwork, and how to keep showing up even when things get tough. Those lessons matter, and they aren’t possible without people willing to invest in these kids.

Saturday was all about competing, growing, and representing the Battleline name the right way.
Our 9U, 11U, and 12U teams hit the field for a full day of tournament baseball, and these boys battled from first pitch to the final out.

There were big hits, great defensive plays, hard-fought innings, and moments that showed exactly what Battleline Baseball is about toughness, teamwork, and heart.

Win or lose, days like these matter.
They build chemistry.
They build confidence.
They build players.

Proud of every athlete, coach, and family who spent their Saturday representing Battleline the right way. Thank you to all the parents, families, and supporters who continue to invest time, energy, and encouragement into these boys.

Happy Mother’s Day to the moms behind Battleline Baseball.

Thank you for the early mornings, late nights, packed coolers, endless laundry, long road trips, and constant encouragement.

Thank you for praying over your boys before games.
For cheering after losses.
For celebrating the small victories nobody else notices.

The players may wear the jersey
but moms help build the heart behind it.

Today we honor the women who sacrifice so much so these young athletes can chase their dreams.
