Coats for Kids

As we close out the winter of 2025-26, we want to again thank our supporters and volunteers that have made this another successful season. We provided 884 coats with hats and gloves to Orange County children.

Thank you for the individual and business donations, and foundation grants which fund this effort. It would not be possible to purchase the items needed without this support.

Thank you to our volunteers, teachers, and administrations at Springs Valley, Orleans, and Paoli schools who help identify needs and distribute coats.

Thank you to volunteers from CASA, Tri Kappa, HeadStart, Team OC, Orange County Sheriff’s Dept Shop with a Cop, and Toys for Tots for their help distributing coats around the county.

Thank you to Paoli Friends Meeting and Fast Eddies in West Baden for letting us hold community distributions in the fall at their locations.

Thank you to New Hope Christian Church for allowing us to maintain our coat inventory at their facility.

This program would not be possible without all the above groups working together for the children!

Thank you to the Orange County Commissioners, TeamOC, and the OC Sheriff's Department for inviting Coats for Kids of Orange County to the "Christmas at the Courthouse" tonight. We distributed over 60 coats with hats and gloves tonight, which brings our total this season to around 800 coats. This would not be possible without our supporters and volunteers!

Coats for Kids of Orange County is pleased to annouce that we have been selected by the Smithville Charitable Foundation to receive a grant to purchase new coats, hats, and gloves for the children of Orange County. This grant will allow us to continue to provide coats this year and to purchase coats on sale toward the end of winter and early spring. Thank you to all our supporters and volunteers that make this program work!
