Another fine day in Historic St. Andrews as we award Barbie and Tim Miller the coveted Yard of the Month designation. The couple (from Illinois and California) fell in love with St. Andrews after visiting family over the years, and we welcome them with open arms!

If you are in the 1600 block of Friendship Avenue (where our friendly neighbors live), wave to them and say congratulations! Thank you to Lowe's Home Improvement on 23rd St, our friends, and the sponsor of Yard of the Month.

Wednesday was a dog gone good day as the Historic St. Andrews Waterfront Partnership presented Operation Spay Bay with proceeds from the 2026 Salty Dog Day in Historic St. Andrews.

Newly elected Lila Rue The Salty Dog Mayor was on hand to oversee the presentation but was secretly pressing members to use monies for extra pup treats during her tenure.

Operation Spay Bay did not bow wow to pressure but instead will continue their valuable work in the community offering low cost spay and neuter services in Bay County.

Tucked away in a courtyard beside a 1920s era brick building known as the Panama City Publishing Company Museum is a tiny hamlet of nature's beauty.

Lovingly cared for by Cindy Weilert, the butterfly garden is a treat for the senses. The garden is on the Rosalynn Carter Butterfly Trail so it stands to reason that at some point it should receive the Historic St. Andrews Yard of the Month award. So yes, this month without hesitancy, we celebrate our own!

Take a stroll down Beck Avenue. Check out the garden, the museum and all of the charm of our community by the sea.

Thank you Cindy Weilert, Deborah Kivett, and all who have tended the garden over the years.
