We are officially 60% of the way to our $100k goal! 🚀

Because of your incredible generosity during our campaign, we have secured the foundation. But we can’t stop now—we need your help to close the remaining 40% gap.

Here is exactly what that final 40% funds:

Keeping the doors open: Sustaining our physical dining spaces at Stevenson House and our new, highly accessible Downtown hub on Bryant Street.

Breaking senior isolation: Ensuring our older neighbors have a warm, welcoming community to visit every single weekday, directly fighting the mental and physical health toll of loneliness.

Guaranteed nutrition: Keeping our kitchens stocked with fresh ingredients for dietician-approved meals, while protecting our golden rule: No senior is ever turned away, regardless of their ability to pay.

We have proven what this community can do when we come together. Let’s bring this home for our seniors!

As we age, metabolic and nutritional requirements completely shift. That is why every single plate served at our Stevenson House and Downtown locations is officially dietician-approved.

We don't just fill bellies—we manage dietary health, protect physical mobility, and lower preventative medical risks for our local seniors. High-quality nutrition shouldn't be an exclusive luxury.

Help us keep our pantries stocked with nutrient-dense ingredients. Your donation to the 100 Days to $100k campaign directly funds health outcomes.

Dignity costs exactly $0. At La Comida, our suggested donation for a fresh, dietician-approved meal is $5. But our absolute golden rule across both our Stevenson House and Downtown locations is this: No senior is ever turned away based on their ability to pay.

Financial barriers shouldn't dictate your access to nutrition, and they certainly shouldn’t force you into isolation.

We rely entirely on our community engine to cover the gap for those who cannot afford it. Donate below to support our mission: https://f.mtr.cool/ozcggbdmpi

When people think of senior nutrition programs, they often picture a delivery van dropping a cold box on a doorstep. But at La Comida, we do things differently for a critical reason.

We operate two physical dining hubs—Stevenson House and our new Downtown location on Bryant Street. Why? Because senior isolation is a silent public health crisis that heavily contributes to mental and physical health decline. We don’t just serve healthy, dietician-approved meals; we build a space where our older neighbors find lasting connection.

No senior is ever turned away, regardless of their financial status. Help us keep these vital doors open during our 100 Days to $100k campaign.

On this Memorial Day, the team at La Comida pauses to honor the courage, dedication, and ultimate sacrifice of those who served our nation. 🇺🇸

While we look back with deep gratitude, we also look closely at the needs of our community today. It is a difficult truth that many veterans—especially older adults—face the dual challenges of food insecurity and severe social isolation, both of which heavily impact senior health and mortality.

Honoring their sacrifice means ensuring they are cared for right now. 💛

Every weekday at Stevenson House and our accessible downtown location on Bryant Street, La Comida provides a place of safety, connection, and dignity. We serve fresh, healthy meals with a suggested $5 donation, but our golden rule remains: no senior is ever turned away. We are here to fight loneliness by bringing people together over a shared table.

This Memorial Day, you can make a tangible difference for local veterans and seniors. Your support of our 100 Days to $100k campaign ensures we can keep our doors open and continue transforming our physical spaces into warm, welcoming homes for those who gave so much.

Big goals can feel overwhelming, but change always happens one step at a time. Today, we ask you to support us.

You all know about our 100 Days to $100k Challenge, today we ask that you support us in completing that challenge. You see us, you see the work we do for the community. Let's do the work, together.

The Countdown is officially ON. ⏰

Before government cuts, we didn't ask for a cent, just quietly fed our neighbors and fostered community, every single weekday. Now, we need your support, your likes, shares, reposts, donations - whatever you can do. It doesn’t take a massive crowd to make a massive impact, just a community willing to take the first step together.

Help us move that progress bar today!

Did you know that for many seniors, the most nourishing part of a meal isn't what's on the plate, but who is sitting across the table? 💛

Senior isolation is a silent crisis in our community. Studies show that prolonged loneliness can be just as damaging to physical and mental health as smoking, heavily contributing to senior mortality. When older adults are isolated, they don't just lose their social lives—they lose their health.

That is exactly why La Comida is NOT a meal delivery service.

We operate two physical dining rooms—one at Stevenson House and our Downtown location at the Bryant Community Center. Every weekday, we set the table so our older neighbors have a safe, welcoming place to gather, share stories, and belong. Yes, they are getting a delicious, dietician-approved meal, but more importantly, they are getting a community.

We suggest a $5 donation for lunch, but our golden rule is that no senior is ever turned away, regardless of their ability to pay.

But we can't build this community alone. As part of our 100 Days to $100k campaign, we need your support to keep these vital lifelines open:

🤝 VOLUNTEER: It takes an entire "Engine Room" to make this happen. Come spend an hour or two helping us serve meals and chatting with our guests. Sometimes, a friendly conversation is the best thing you can offer.
🎁 DONATE: Your gift directly funds the fresh food, the facilities, and the welcoming spaces that keep our seniors healthy and connected.

Help us fight senior isolation and food insecurity, one shared meal at a time.
