This morning, a food donation was made to the Fluvanna County SPCA, comprising items Ollie couldn't consume. Observations revealed numerous dogs displaying emotional shutdown, with staff actively working to rectify this. All dogs encountered were friendly and searching for a permanent residence. The shelter's inventory included one bag of their standard dog food, with an immediate need for cat food. A visit to Tractor Supply facilitated the acquisition of necessary supplies and toys. As we finalize a list of required items, further assistance will be forthcoming to support this esteemed community institution.

Life has been hectic with the academic year concluding on a strong note for our family, but a new endeavor awaits. This Monday, we will be heading to Virginia Beach to assist a former Army colleague's church. Unfortunately, the local contractor failed to follow through on spreading rock for the church community, so we sill step in to complete the task.

My sincere thanks go out to all who helped bring this together. Due to work schedules, I will be leaving at 0400 tomorrow to deliver these critical items to the McDowell County Sheriff's Office. The backing of our community has been crucial to the success of this project. Thank you for allowing me to steward your generous donations.

The support of our community is instrumental in facilitating my efforts. I would like to extend my appreciation to Charles Reinhold and Mike Powell, who made it possible for every member of the McDowell County Sheriff's Department to receive at least two brand new M4 magazines. The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office will receive new equipment. Having retired from a department with a comprehensive range of resources, including an indoor range and cleaning supplies, I appreciate the importance of being well-equipped. It is heartening to see that this small department will have everything it needs for some time.

First order for McDowell County Sheriff’s Department has arrived. Each Deputy will end up with one of these cleaning kits, bore snake 🐍 for both 9mm and 5:56. The Department itself will end up with a lot of maintenance/cleaning supplies. Each Deputy will also receive two new M4 mags! Helping the ones that help us!

During yesterday's discussion, Michael Hart explored the possibility of incorporating four additional plaques with Hemauer. (Names will be released pending approval) The individuals involved were A co personnel assigned to Charlottesville or Harrisonburg units. We are presently seeking quotes for the fabrication of similar plaques, as well as the restoration and repainting of these stones. If you are familiar with a professional(s) equipped to handle these tasks, please inform me. Michael Hart
