Have you ever considered “ Hmm maybe I should try Celebrate Recovery” have you thought but I’m not an addict!( most of us there aren’t) We are a group of people who stepped out of Denial that we suffer with a hurt, a habit, or a hang up, somewhere in our lives. Today is Lesson 1, Denial, if you have ever thought one time “should I try this?” I encourage you to let this week be your week of obedience. All you will find is other hurt people looking to support you and love you.
Praying to see you later this evening!

Sharing a great word by a fellow CR at WFR Church in Louisiana…

Have you ever noticed how often you say, “I’m sorry” for things that don’t actually require an apology?

“I’m sorry” for needing help.
“I’m sorry” for saying no.
“I’m sorry” for having feelings.
“I’m sorry” for taking up someone’s time.
“I’m sorry” for setting a boundary.
“I’m sorry” for simply taking up space.

Over-apologizing can become a habit… and sometimes it’s rooted in something much deeper.

Maybe you learned to keep the peace at all costs. Maybe you’re afraid of disappointing people. Maybe rejection taught you that everyone else’s feelings are your responsibility.

There is a difference between taking responsibility when we’ve done something wrong and constantly apologizing for being human.

Recovery teaches us to own what belongs to us… and stop carrying what doesn’t.

You don’t have to apologize for having boundaries.
You don’t have to apologize for needing rest.
You don’t have to apologize for saying no.
You don’t have to apologize for healing.
And you certainly don’t have to apologize for becoming the person God is calling you to be.

Sometimes recovery sounds less like “I’m sorry” and more like “I’m learning.”
