ICYMI: Marco Godoy appeared this week on to discuss our event "Noche de Boleros," coming up May 4th, 2026. Check the link in the comments to listen to the complete interview.

Noche de Boleros is an intimate two-part concert—part classical, part contemporary—created as a special International Piano Competition. From the piano, Venezuelan-born artist Marco Antonio Godoy shares his journey of arriving in the United States with just two bags—one with his clothes, the other with a keyboard—and the challenges, discipline, and hope that shaped his path.

Your ticket includes a full evening experience: a Mexican buffet dinner and drinks from Casuelas Café, one of Palm Desert's most authentic restaurants, followed by a story-driven performance that celebrates the lifelong impact of music education—reminding us that even when young pianists don't become professional concert artists, the foundation they build through music translates into confidence, resilience, and success in every area of life.

Get tickets at www.psipc.org. See you there!
