Hispanic American Cultural Society

Hispanic American Cultural Society HACS creates interest in the Hispanic community to stimulate civic, cultural, and social engagement.

HACS provides a means to promote Hispanic Culture, Heritage, and language and seek out necessities by actively engaging in sectors of the Hispanic community with fewer resources. HACS actively participates with other charities and creates charitable programs for all Hispanic residents in Florida.

We at HACS are more than overjoyed with this year's selection of our 2026 Scholarship recipients. We gave 8 Scholarships, 4 to Hispanics and 4 to Non-Hispanics. This would not have been possible without the help of our volunteers and consistent support for all our fundraising events throughout the year. This was real teamwork. Please view some photos of our recipients.

Víctor Peralta – 2025 La Alianza Award Honoree

Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, on October 10, 1965, Victor Peralta is one of eleven siblings and a proud father of six. His journey is a true testament to perseverance, community spirit, and the American dream.

Victor came to New York in April 1985, where he began building a
life rooted in hard work and service. In 2002, he relocated to Florida, bringing with him his entrepreneurial spirit and deep connection to his Hispanic roots. That same drive led him to open his first supermarket in Daytona Beach, La Placita, which quickly became a trusted name in the community.

In 2017, Victor expanded his vision to Palm Coast, founding Amigo Supermarket—a cultural cornerstone that serves as a beacon for Hispanic families throughout Flagler and neighboring counties. More than a place to shop, Amigo Supermarket represents a gathering place for the community, where culture, tradition, and connection thrive.

Beyond his business success, Victor is known for his generosity,
humility, and unwavering commitment to helping others. He has
been a steadfast supporter of the Hispanic American Cultural Society (HACS) and numerous local charities, always ready to lend a hand and never saying no when it comes to serving his community.

Victor Peralta embodies the values of leadership, hard work, and
compassion that define the La Alianza Award. His dedication to
uplifting others and strengthening the Hispanic community makes
him a truly deserving honoree.
