Introducing our New Vice President and Clinical Director
One of the greatest privileges of leadership is watching incredible clinicians grow into exceptional leaders.
Today, I have the honor of congratulating Alicia Cohen, M.Ed., BCBA, on her promotion to Vice President & Clinical Director at In Motion ABA.
As I transition into my new role as Chief Clinical Director, I couldn't be more excited to see Alicia step into this leadership position. I have complete confidence in her ability to continue strengthening our clinical team while remaining the thoughtful, approachable leader so many of us have come to know and respect.
I've had the opportunity to work alongside Alicia and witness firsthand the compassion, clinical excellence, integrity, and dedication she brings to our clients, families, and team every single day. She leads by example, supports those around her, and never loses sight of why we do this work, to improve the lives of the families we serve.
Congratulations, Alicia. This promotion is incredibly well deserved, and I can't wait to see all that you'll accomplish in this next chapter.

Today was an incredibly special and emotional day as we had the honor of awarding two deserving young people scholarships through the Live Like Nate Scholarship. ❤️🎓
My son, Nate, was truly one of a kind. He was full of life, full of love, and had a way of making an impact on everyone he met. His smile, his heart, his energy, and the love he gave so freely left a mark on so many lives. And something that was so special to him was making it to college and being able to play football at a college level. Even though his time was cut short he truly loved college.
Although Nate is no longer here with us, his legacy continues to live on through the people he touched and through the Live Like Nate foundation. Being able to honor his memory by helping two young people pursue their dreams is something that means more to our family than words can ever express.
Congratulations to our two scholarship recipients! Arielys and Cameron 🎓 We are so incredibly proud of you both and excited to see where life takes you. You are both stars ! 🌟 We hope this scholarship not only helps you along your journey, but also reminds you to Live Like Nate—to live fully, love deeply, make an impact, and leave a little more light in the world wherever you go.

Be gentle with people who have lost a child.

That kind of grief never leaves.

It doesn't fade.

It doesn't become a distant memory.

It simply becomes the air they learn to breathe.

There is no loss that compares to losing your child.

It shatters something so deep within a parent that no amount of time, hope, or love can ever put it back the way it was.

They still smile.

They still laugh.

They still love the people around them.

But there is an ache beneath every moment that never goes away.

A part of them is forever missing.

They no longer see the world the way they once did.

Every graduation.

Every wedding.

Every baby announcement.

Every birthday.

Every ordinary moment becomes a quiet reminder of the life their child should still be living.

Because once you've lost your child...

You never stop imagining the future they were supposed to have.

Research has shown that the loss of a child can create lasting changes in the brain, altering the way a parent experiences joy, safety, and the world around them.

They are not the person they were before.

They never will be.

That isn't because they refuse to heal.

It's because part of their heart left this world with their child.

When they laugh, it's real.

When they smile, they mean it.

But grief is still there.

Quietly walking beside them.

In every season.

On every birthday.

At every holiday.

In every milestone their child will never reach.

So please...

Don't tell them to move on.

Don't tell them that everything happens for a reason.

Don't tell them time heals all wounds.

Instead...

Speak their child's name.

Remember that they existed.

Allow them to tell the same stories a hundred times if they need to.

Sit with them in the silence when there are no words.

Because although their child is no longer physically here...

They are still part of every heartbeat.

Every tear.

Every memory.

Every breath.

A child may leave this earth...

But they never leave their parent's
