Purple Heart Homes is bringing veteran housing to the national stage. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿก

This September, we will launch the ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐Œ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐•๐ž๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ง ๐‡๐จ๐ฆ๐ž ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐, a first of its kind public construction event taking place September 27 through October 5 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

Over seven days, in full public view, Purple Heart Homes will construct a fully acchttps://bit.ly/3RopPh4longside volunteers and partners. Once complete, the home will make its Journey Home to Glasgow, Virginia, where it will provide safe, independent housing for a veteran.

National Purple Heart Day gave us the opportunity to honor service in a special way. ๐Ÿ’œ

On August 7, the Purple Heart Homes team spent time with longtime friends and supporters Bill and Carrington Price, founders of the renowned Queenโ€™s Cup Steeplechase in Mineral Springs, North Carolina.

We were honored to present Bill and Carrington with a ๐‡๐š๐ซ๐๐œ๐จ๐ซ๐ž ๐‡๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ซ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ช๐ฎ๐ž in recognition of their friendship, generosity, and commitment to the Purple Heart Homes mission.

Their connection to service is deeply personal. Billโ€™s father was a World War II veteran who helped shape the vision for the Queenโ€™s Cup and secure the land that became part of its legacy. That history of service, family, and community makes their continued support especially meaningful. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

This year also begins a new Purple Heart Homes tradition. Each August, we will take time to recognize individuals whose service, generosity, and commitment have helped carry our mission forward.
