Never going to be acting or making up a story that we know it all...

You only get better at ANYTHING if you keep trying, keep learning, keep failing, then getting up and keep on going.

For the last two years of our existence, we have helped connect numerous animals and adopters.
We have heard the term "Adoption Failure," but never had a chance to experience it, since we always had a waiting list of people interested in adoption.

About a month ago, we did have a surrender donkey.

We knew her and knew she was not handled before adoption. Last family had experience with handling and taking care of equine but the agreement was, if there is anything changes, they call us first.

After about 7 months, the family kindly asked us to take her away.

She already had an amazing adopter aligned and for the first time EVER, we pressed "NO" button.

It's amazing to realize that in only 2 short years of existence, we have learned and leveled up so much.

We hope she will learn to like us.
We hope she will trust humans again.
We hope she will heal with us.

We hope WE will be able to show her, that humanity can be beautiful.

Have you ever had those moments when you really want to share something good and exciting just to realize that it's not the right time? 😔

Saturday morning, right outside of Donkeys of Pahrump, car accident happened. Not going into details, but motorcycle was hit during high speed chase. We weren't aware of who was hit, only later found out that man on motorcycle was our dear, dear neighbor and friend....

If you followed us for sometime, you might remember our blessing with mind-blowing deal on panels to build a training round pens and enclosures. It was THAT family, who chose Donkeys of Pahrump, to bless with such addition.

Today Timothy Dorn is in the spirit form...watching over his loved ones.

Tracey Dorn, you are such a beautiful soul, there might be no words that will make you feel better at the moment, but maybe a little kindness from your community, by showing that we are here to support you and send you our virtual hugs in such difficult time.

Tracey's family organized a GoFundMe, to raise funds for cremation and to cover any other funeral expenses that might come.

5:07 am at the moment this post is being made.

Probably will regret posting it, but as mentioned before, life is not always rainbows and candies and thoughts like this happen.

Can't say that it happens often, but today was one of those days... Morning started with an exciting transportation of Crystal back to her owner.

Something no one, except those who were loading her, could see, but it was emotional and tears were present.

Crystal was delivered and we spent close to 3 hours working with her and her owner.

Our girl Sienna, who was present during pickup, was also present during delivery. Sienna was silently standing in the shade, wiping her tears. "Someone got emotional here," she said. "Watching how much this horse has been changed and how much the owner is thankful is incredible" — these moments are "invisible" to the rest, but they are there.

Upon arrival, we get a message from our Sanctuary girl who is covering evening routine at Donkeys of Pahrump, that she doesn't feel good and needs to call in sick. Run there, cleaned, fed, loved. Mission is accomplished ✅️

Finally home... it's 6 pm and dinner time with family. Getting a call from a local resident: "A Gentle Giant needs to be taken to an emergency, and it looks like he is dying"...

Load and at 8 pm we are on our way to Vegas.

On the way there, we did have a thought he is not going to make it... he did.... but didn't make it back home... He will now be in spirit form, running pain free, being an angel to his owner who gave him such amazing care and retirement.

Made it home at midnight.

Adrenaline and dopamine have been having a nonstop party and there we go... sleep wanted nothing to do with it😆

Well... there you go, a little glimpse of the day, except, here is the final thought at 5:24 am after no sleep for the last 24 hours 😅

To all who are talking behind our backs... Not in a good way...
To all who make us a "bad guy" because we donated different amounts of hay to different people...
To all who call Animal Control on us to complain about our animal care.
To all who say, "You will never be able to train this horse because you don't know what you are doing"...
To all who say, "Ohh, there is so much wrong and illegal they are doing."
To all who just keep gossiping and gossiping and gossiping...

One of the many trips where we offered our help to a local resident. Their gentle giant was having a hard time with swelling "down there".

Cleaning was performed and the video with a warning that to some viewers it might feel inappropriate or sensitive, will be posted shortly.

Whole medical expenses and gas was covered by our nonprofit 🥰 this makes us sooo happy to be able to. Nothing was passed to the family of this baby.
