Western Kentucky Reentry Council

Western Kentucky Reentry Council Western Kentucky local meeting group for Kentucky Reentry Reentry is the process of someone who has been incarcerated returning to the community.
(1)

The person has fulfilled their obligation if they have served all of their sentence or they are in the process of completing their sentence while on parole or probation. Reentry involves the use of programs targeted at promoting the effective reintegration of offenders back to communities upon release from prison and jail. Reentry programming, which often involves a comprehensive case management a

pproach, is intended to assist offenders in acquiring the life skills needed to succeed in the community and become law-abiding citizens. A variety of programs are used to assist offenders in the reentry process, including pre-release programs, drug rehabilitation and vocational training, and work programs. The Western Kentucky Reentry Council is made up of the Pennyrile Area Development District (Livingston, Crittenden, Lyon, Caldwell, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Trigg, Christian, and Todd counties) and the Purchase Area Development District (Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman, Fulton, McCracken, Graves, Marshall, and Calloway counties). The Paducah Area meets meets the 3rd Thursday of every month. The Hopkinsville Area meets the 1st Tuesday of every month. We would be very happy to have you attend. Just send us a message and we will let you know when the next meeting is.
