We need to be honest with our community.

Our food pantry at Upon This Rock Ministries is at risk of shutting down if we cannot secure more volunteers to help us.

Every week, families in our area rely on this pantry for food. For some households, this distribution helps fill a real gap between paychecks. Behind every food distribution is a small team of volunteers who unload the truck, move boxes, and prepare the food so it can be given out.

Right now, we do not have enough consistent help.

Without volunteers to assist with unloading and organizing the food, it will become very difficult for us to continue operating the pantry in the weeks ahead.

We are urgently looking for volunteers who can help on:

Tuesdays and Fridays
7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

You do not have to stay the entire time. Even if you can come for part of that window, your help would make a meaningful difference.

This work mainly involves:

- Unloading food from the truck

- Moving boxes into the building

- Helping organize items for distribution

If you are physically able and have a heart to serve the community, we need you.

Please apply to volunteer here:
https://www.utrmnc.com/volunteer-form

If you are unable to volunteer, you can still help by sharing this post so it reaches someone who may be able to step in.

Your time could help ensure that families in our community continue to have access to food.

No Church Services Tomorrow, 1/25/26, at Upon This Rock Ministries

Due to inclement weather, we are cancelling services for tomorrow. Stay warm and stay safe!

01/24/2026

As many of you are aware, a winter storm is expected to move through our area this weekend. We want everyone to stay safe, use wisdom, and prepare as needed.

Please keep an eye on road conditions, especially if temperatures drop and ice becomes an issue. Your safety matters.

If the weather impacts our service schedule, we will communicate any updates here on our church page as soon as possible.

In the meantime, let’s stay prayerful and stay ready - not fearful.

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." - Psalm 46:1

We love you, and we’re covering you.

This message is for anybody who’s been feeling heavy, guilty, and overwhelmed lately.

Let me remind you of something:

God will convict you, but He will never condemn you.

Condemnation sounds loud, harsh, final, and hopeless.
Conviction may be uncomfortable, but it’s full of love and direction.

If you’ve been hearing the voice that says “you’re a failure”… that’s not God.

God’s voice calls you higher, not hopeless.

There is a kind of Christianity that knows how to look “right" but never truly becomes righteous.

There is a kind of worship that can be loud but the heart stays unchanged.

There is a kind of church attendance that becomes routine but the soul stays unconverted.

In this, the Lord is not pleased.

God is calling for something deeper than appearances.

"Rend your heart, and not your garments..."

In other words:
Stop tearing your clothes but keep your pride.
Stop crying public tears but keeping private sin.
Stop changing your words while refusing to change your ways.

God is not impressed by what we can perform.
God is moved by what we will surrender.

This is the hour for the Church to return to the fear of the Lord.
Not a fear that produces bo***ge, but a fear that produces holiness.
A fear that cleans our speech.
A fear that guards our eyes.
A fear that purifies our motives.
A fear that makes us hate what God hates and love what God loves.

America doesn’t just need revival services.
We need revived hearts.
We need repentance that isn’t temporary emotion, but permanent transformation.

Because the same God who judges sin…
is the God who still receives the repentant.

And His mercy is still available.

Not for those who want to stay the same…
but for those who are ready to come out.

Prayer:
Lord, break what needs to break in me. Remove what needs to be removed. Create in me a clean heart. Restore the fear of the Lord. Let righteousness rise again.

Let’s talk about the season nobody wants.

The season where:

it feels quiet

it feels slow

it feels repetitive

it feels like nothing is changing

But that doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

Some of the most important spiritual growth happens when God is strengthening your roots… not showing your fruit.

Don’t confuse “hidden” with “forgotten.”

The same God who called you is the same God who will complete you.

Some of us have been carrying the weight of yesterday for too long and the enemy loves when we believe the lie that we have to “clean ourselves up” before we can come back to God.

But truth is…
God does His best work with the person who is willing.

If you’ve been feeling disconnected, convicted, tired, or even emotionally numb… that doesn’t mean God is done with you.

It may mean God is calling you.

Today, don’t let shame stop you from returning to the One who restores.

Have you ever had a moment where you knew God was calling you back?

Repentance is not a word of condemnation — it’s an invitation. It’s God’s loving call for us to turn away from what’s been draining us spiritually and come back to the One who restores and renews.

When we repent, we don’t just admit our wrongs — we open the door for God to do something new in our hearts. The Bible reminds us that times of refreshing come from the Lord when we turn back to Him. That means peace where there’s been turmoil, clarity where there’s been confusion, and restoration where there’s been brokenness.

Repentance isn’t about shame — it’s about freedom. It’s about choosing alignment with God over attachment to what’s been holding us back. Whether it’s pride, fear, bitterness, or distraction, God is waiting with open arms to wipe the slate clean and breathe new life into us again.

Let this week be your reminder that it’s never too late to turn around. No matter how far you’ve drifted, God’s grace reaches further.

Come back to Him — not because He’s angry, but because He loves you too much to leave you where you are.
