Ti-Ahwaga is thrilled to announce auditions for their annual production of A Christmas Story! We welcome performers of all experience levels and encourage anyone interested to come share their talent.

Audition Dates & Times:
Sunday, September 13 | 11:00 - 1:00 PM
Tuesday, September 15 | 6:00–8:00 PM

Audition Preparation

Adult Audition Preparation
Adults auditioning for the production should prepare a 1–2 minute monologue of their choice. Please select something that allows us to get a sense of your personality, acting style, and ability to connect with the material.

Youth Audition Preparation
Young actors will have the opportunity to choose from the sides provided for auditions.
They will be asked to read for all of the age-appropriate youth roles, rather than auditioning for just one specific character.

Young Men: You may be asked to read for Flick, Schwartz, Ralphie, and Randy.

Young Women: You may be asked to read for Helen and Esther Jane.
Come ready to play, take risks, and have fun! We are excited to see both familiar and new faces and to begin bringing this beloved story to life.

We are mourning the loss of Jack Carr today, most recently seen on our stage as FDR in Annie. Jack was a long-time supporter and volunteer, director, actor, and former board member here at TCP. He made a lasting impact, not only on our little theater, but many theaters within our area. Jack was a presence on stage and taught many folks about the magic that is theater. We will forever be grateful for him and the abilities he shared with us and so many others. 🤍

🎭AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT✨

The Effect is hosting auditions here at TCP, 9/3 from 6-9PM, and 9/5 1:30-4:30PM.
We are searching for 4 performers to cast in the following roles:

DR. LORNA JAMES – 47 years
DR. TOBY SEALEY – 45 years
CONNIE HALL – 26 years
TRISTAN FREY –30 years

Auditions will consist of reading from a side for a role you are interested in. Sides will be emailed to you following your audition sign up. You do not need to memorize these, just focus on storytelling. You are welcome to read for multiple roles.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your audition slot to fill out the audition form.

Rehearsals will begin October 12th with a first readthrough scheduled prior based on cast availability.

PLOT SUMMARY:
The Effect is a clinical romance. Two young volunteers, Tristan and Connie, agree to take part in a drug trial. Succumbing to the gravitational pull of attraction and love, however, Tristan and Connie manage to throw the trial off-course, much to the frustration of the clinicians involved. This funny, moving and perhaps surprisingly human play explores questions of sanity, neurology and the limits of medicine, alongside ideas of fate, loyalty and the inevitability of physical attraction.
