Call To Action Team Against Human Trafficking Registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that is fighting against human trafficking through advocacy and education in Central Florida. We have local meetings and events.

Join us! Welcome to the Call to Action Team against Human Trafficking. Our Mission: It's happening closer than you think. Central Florida faces unique risks because it combines so many of the factors that traffickers exploit—and the numbers tell a story we can't afford to ignore. The Call to Action Team Against Human Trafficking is a support group which has come together to make a difference in our community and to raise the levels of awareness against human trafficking as well as to provide services to local shelters for survivors of human trafficking. Our vision is to operate exclusively for charitable, educational and awareness purposes. We enlist speakers from other nonprofit organizations who also work with human trafficking survivors and enlist training from certified trained human trafficking responders. We work together to empower survivors of human trafficking to achieve their independence and a safe reentry into society. By raising the awareness of community members, the team hopes to curtail the fast-growing incidents of human trafficking and strengthen protection and rehabilitation opportunities for survivors. The Call to Action Team is a local community-based group of compassionate women and men who abhor any practice that promotes human trafficking, violence, exploitation and/or slave labor. We are a support group which assists other nonprofit organizations and shelters, with support and services to the survivors of human trafficking in our area. We meet regularly to brainstorm ideas as to how better to serve these survivors. Together we unite and take action to create a lasting difference in their lives. Our guest speakers share their knowledge and training to better equip our members and guests about human trafficking issues. Our goal is to empower victims to achieve their independence. We share the love and care we have for the survivors in ways that touch their hearts to demonstrate to them that they are not a forgotten group due to unfortunate circumstances. Members donate gifts to the survivors and items of need to the nonprofits. We choose to make a difference in their lives and to stimulate interest where needed in the crisis of human trafficking. We mobilize other local community groups to share in our mission and educational experiences in the prevention of Human Trafficking in Central Florida which has become a hub for Human Trafficking due to the high volume of tourism and family-oriented entertainment. We also offer a private member group that serves as our active hub for news, event coordination, volunteer resources, and community action.

Unbelievable!

🚨 Operation Red Light Dismantles Major S*x Trafficking Network in Southwest Florida

Operation Red Light—a massive, two-year multi-agency investigation led by the INTERCEPT Task Force—dismantled an organized s*x trafficking and prostitution ring operating out of Lee County, Florida. The operation was the longest and most complex investigation in INTERCEPT's history.

Over the course of the investigation, law enforcement uncovered a criminal enterprise operating brothels out of storefronts and residential properties across Southwest Florida.

Eight search warrants were executed simultaneously, resulting in the arrest of 10 individuals and the shutdown of locations used to facilitate exploitation.

According to investigators, some of these operations were hidden in plain sight—even among other businesses in the community. One location was operating just feet from a daycare.

This case is a reminder that exploitation can exist closer than many realize. It also demonstrates the impact of the INTERCEPT Task Force model—a collaborative effort bringing agencies together to protect the vulnerable, pursue traffickers, and disrupt criminal networks. We are grateful to support our partner, Operation Light Shine, and the INTERCEPT Task Force as they work across six cities in the United States to combat human trafficking and exploitation.

Every operation like this represents more than arrests. It represents lives protected, communities made safer, and a continued commitment to the fight against human trafficking and exploitation!
