June Meeting Update!

This month, we had the privilege of welcoming Angella Moore, owner of Armor Up Recovery, to speak at our meeting. Angella shared her experience in creating and managing sober living homes.

With a background working alongside anti-human trafficking organizations, Angella helped us explore the intersection between substance abuse, trauma, and human trafficking, and how these issues are often deeply connected.

We were also honored to donate journals for the women in Armor Up Recovery's program to use for reflection, goal setting, and recovery planning.

Next Monday, June 8th, join the team-up between Call to Action and Amor Up Recovery to hear Angella Moore share her personal experience with addiction and her journey to creating two sober living homes for women in need.

Alcohol and drug substance abuse and human trafficking are often intertwined. A survey of US survivors of s*x trafficking found that 84.3 percent used substances during their trafficking exploitation. Learn more important facts at our meeting.
