The Johnson County Bar Association (JCBA) was formed in 1938 and has a volunteer membership of approximately 1,400 attorneys and judges practicing in the Johnson County, Kansas and surrounding county area. A total of 12 Sections provide abundant opportunities to learn, network and lead. You can expand your knowledge of practice areas such a family law or probate law. Or, you might want to serve on

a bench/bar committee on criminal or juvenile law. Or flex your muscles on the association's Community Outreach Committee or the Membership Committee. Thinking About Getting More Involved?

One of the best ways to build relationships within the legal community is by joining a committee, attending events regularly, or volunteering for a project that interests you.

Bar associations work best when members participate beyond simply renewing dues once a year and disappearing into the witness protection program until CLE season.

There are plenty of ways to get involved with the JCBA, and we would love to help connect you.

The JCBA Judicial Evaluation Survey will be launching soon as part of our continued commitment to professionalism, accountability, and supporting a strong judicial system.

Attorneys who regularly appear before judges in Johnson County will have the opportunity to provide confidential feedback regarding judicial performance and courtroom experience.

The survey process is designed to encourage thoughtful, constructive input from members of the legal community while helping promote public confidence in the judiciary and the administration of justice.

If you practice in Johnson County and regularly appear before District Court judges, we need to hear from you. If you do not receive a survey link once the process launches, please reach out to us.
