A fabulous day Sporting Park at the KC Restaurant Festival with Scavuzzos Inc. Thank you to Angela and Steve for supporting our organization that provides education and vocational job training for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for the hospitality industry.

It was great catching up with old friends and meeting new friends who work so hard to make your dining experience special. They deserve a day dedicated to them!

Thank you to everyone who came out last week to support our organization at our 9th Annual Hope & Hospitality event aBoulevard Brewing Company. We had a record turn out and a wonderful evening of food, drink and raising money to support our mission to provide education and vocational job training for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the hospitality industry.

We offer all at no charge to our individuals/families, so rely on our KC Community.

Graduation #2 this week from our Hand in Hand Program. Jaden has been a joy to work with and she will now become an employee at Ya Yas working 3 mornings a week , polishing silverware, cleaning glasses, folding napkins and making sure the bathroom is stocked before they open for lunch.

Day # 1 Training Micah SPIN! Pizza. Micah has been one of our shining stars for years and we are excited for him to start his new position. He will do all “pre-opening” duties such as wiping down the booths and chairs , rolling silverware , filling shakers and folding pizza boxes. All help the staff be more productive and work as a team.

johnny boy foundation never charges an individual or family so that our program is available to all that have a desire to work.

Thank you SPIN Pizza for providing this opportunity. We are excited to partner with you to develop other opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities at other locations in KC. You truly believe in helping the community.

First day of training with Sam. Thank you to Hector for your patience and taking the time to show us the hotel and Houseman responsibilities.

We are truly grateful to Chris (Assistant GM) and Tyler (Director of Housekeeping) for believing in our program for individuals with IDD.

We do not charge our individuals or families so everyone can have an opportunity to succeed.

Looking forward to spending more time at this beautiful hotel!
