🔥IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW🔥

When drought conditions and fire danger exists, a burn ban can be put in place by a county judge or county commissioners court prohibiting or restricting outdoor burning for public safety. Always check your county website for more information.

Even if your county is NOT currently under a burn ban-hot, dry, and windy conditions can still make outdoor burning extremely hazardous. It only takes one spark to ignite dry vegetation.

👉 Always check your countywide burn ban status
👉 Always check the day’s weather conditions
👉 If conditions are questionable—don’t burn
🚫 Avoid burning on dry, hot, or windy days—burn ban or not
🌬️ Winds can carry embers far from your burn pile
🌾 Dry vegetation can ignite and spread rapidly

We are super grateful for all that put in the work to make this happen! We are blessed to be apart of this grant and received some of the SCBA's. With equipment like this might be the difference between being able to save a neighbor in the event of a house fire. A lot of people dont realize we also utilize then during vehicle fires and numerous other applications where the air may be harmful to breath. We always are grateful for our communities support and appreciate all you do to make things like this possible!

Huge shout out to The Duke and Oliver Foundation for generously donating a pet oxygen kit to the department! We know how special our furry friends are to us! This kit has everything you need to administer oxygen to a pet if they have been caught in a house fire or similar situation! We are extremely grateful for the donation and hope we never have to use it, but feel prepared if the situation arises!

I know everybody has been gearing up for the cold weather but one thing that is often overlooked is your furnace filter! With everybody trapped inside for a few days it'd prob be worth changing, but also helps your unit run as efficiently as possible which can be crucial if power is questionable!

Sincerely,

The son of a heating and air guy that got a call from his father to remind me to do mine! Hahaha
