Hi folks! I am excited to be going to the Old Threshers Reunion Sep 3- 7 to demonstrate using a sock machine. This the first time I have done anything like this so I am a little nervous but excited. It's mainly to bring awareness of the machines and to educate on how they are used. We might get a few new CATS members out of it too. Come see me if you are in the area.

Exciting news! CATS will be set up at our local Old Thresher's Reunion to demonstrate the circular sock knitting machine to the public. We are not going to sell socks. We just want to bring awareness to these fascinating machines and what they can do. We will have a billboard with some vintage advertisements for the machines including some from WWII. There will be some antique machines set up for viewing and one set up that people can crank. If you're in the area come check us out!

The Threshers reunion focuses on steam powered machinery and other methods of doing things before all of the modern conveniences we have today were invented. It is a perfect venue for demonstrating these beautiful machines!

Got a new toy yesterday. It's a 1923 or 1924 Gearhart. It needs a few repairs but works! 60 cylinder. Unusable ribber tappet plate. I might leave it in its natural state and not paint it. It is beautiful! I might have a problem, LOL.

13 pair of socks .ade at the Earlbacher Homecoming event this year. I used my 1940s Auto Knitter. The rubber stopped working but I got 1 pair made before it did. I have since fixed it. If you haven't been to the Earlbacher event you should go at least once.

This is Matilda. Took her to PIGS with me so Pete Oswald could work some magic and get her knitting properly. He made some adjustments and she can make a sock now. I am still having trouble with the heel spring though. I had to hand manipulate the yarn for the heel and toe but she made a sock! More tuning later.

Went PIGS crank in last week! Had a great time. Made 6 pair of socks! Helped a beginner get her Dean&Bean working, she made a pair of socks! Won a skein of yarn, hunted for mini pigs, learned how to use the crystals, and made some new friends. Highly recommend attending if you can.
