WEEKEND AT A GLANCE
We know it's still only July, but it's starting to feel a little like summer is starting to wind down (say it ain't so!!). Luckily, there are lots of things happening in downtown Ottawa this weekend to make summer last just a little longer!

Embrace your creative side at Open Mic Poetry Night at Open Space Art Gallery & Studios tonight, or stop by the Free Little Art Gallery Create and Donate Pop-up at Annette Barr Photography Studio tomorrow!

Or, make a morning downtown on Saturday at the Ottawa Farmers and Makers Market, then head over to the Craft and Vendors' Show in Jordan Block, then wander down to Albin Stevens Drive for the 42nd Annual LaSalle County Cruisers Car Show!

On Sunday, bring the kids to Riordan Pool for a FREE pool party, generously sponsored by Ottawa Special Events Group, Ottawa YMCA, and Ottawa Visitors Center The Middle of Everywhere!

Volunteers Needed: For Tornado Relief Benefit Concert/Event
Dear Community Members,
Our community needs us. We are hosting a Tornado Relief Benefit to raise vital funds for those affected by the recent June tornado.
To make this event a success and maximize our donation pool, we need a dedicated team of volunteers.Whether you can spare one to two hours or the whole day, your time will directly help our neighbors rebuild. Below are the specific roles and shifts we need to fill. 1. Setup Crew. Tasks: Set up tables, chairs, pop-up tents, and event signage. Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and comfortable working outdoors. 2. Admissions & Cash Handling. Tasks: Greet guests, sell entry tickets, collect cash/card donations, and distribute event hand stamp. Requirements: Detail-oriented, comfortable handling money, and friendly attitude. 3. Food & Concession. Services: Tasks: manage food and keep the food service area clean. Requirements: Must wear gloves (provided) and possibly stand for some of the duration of the shift. 4. Tear-Down & Clean-Up Crew. Tasks: Pack up leftover supplies, fold down tables/chairs, bag trash, and ensure the venue is left spotless. Requirements: Physical stamina and teamwork mindset.
