There are a ton of great pictures rolling in from awesome memories throughout the whole weekend but none are better than these pictures right here. Sorry Briana for creeping your page to steal a couple of pictures 😆

We want to send out the biggest THANK YOU of all and big hugs to the Gelbach Family! Dan & Barb, Garrett, Briana & Mike and the kids have been such a huge help with many things behind the scenes of this event and donated some of the awesome raffle prizes we had as well. We hope their family had a ton of fun together and made some great memories doing exactly what Brett would have loved to be doing on such a beautiful day.

A special thanks to Dan and Barb for raising such a great man that was so obviously loved and adored by hundreds and hundreds of people that showed up to celebrate his life and help raise money towards the trades scholarships that will be given in his name through a scholarship foundation that will be able to continue for decades and decades to come!

I want to also quickly thank Andy and the team over at Marine 365 for allowing us to have use of the pontoon boat to get the whole family out on the water together.

Year 1 ✅️

We want to send a huge thank you from Brian, Neal, Lauren and myself (Kyle) to all that attended The Brett Gelbach Annual Fun Run presented by ShoreStation this weekend.

It was a great turn out and a huge success thanks to so many including all of our generous sponsors, volunteers, partners, and participants!

We will have much more to share about the event in the coming days, weeks, and months after we take a deep breath and start to shift gears towards the 2nd annual event in 2027. The momentum we will take into next year is going to be very strong and we are excited to keep building and improving this event each and every year.

Thanks again to our host venue Sometimes at Pioneer Island and their team that crushed it as well as the crew at the Pioneer Marina that helped make this event a huge success as well as our friends at El Azteca Mexican Restaurant for a great dinner and Star Six Nine for putting on one heck of a show for us!

Yesterday reminded us once again of our saying

which is the way our friend Brett Gelbach lived his life everyday! Thank you to all that helped us celebrate his life yesterday!

If anyone else is headed to Harbor Bar today close to 4pm please bring Brett’s cardboard cut out back to the tent. Same goes for The Landing and Fox River Brewery. It would be much appreciated.

With the large volume of people attending this event comes some challenges.
One of those challenges is trying to include friends that do not own a boat or currently have the dreaded boat blues. (Boat is broken).

I am giving a call out to to our amazing group of captains to see if there are any boats that has an extra seat or two that would be so kind as to welcome aboard a fellow participant for the day.
