This Independence Day, why not add a great story to your celebration? Whether you’re relaxing after the parade, enjoying a backyard BBQ, or winding down after the fireworks, there’s a perfect book waiting for you!

Here are a few patriotic and all-American reading suggestions for every age:

As we celebrate our nation’s independence, we’re also grateful for one of the greatest freedoms we share—the freedom to read, learn, and explore new ideas through books.

We hope your Independence Day is filled with laughter, family, friends, and a good story to enjoy along the way. Thank you to everyone who supports our library through donations, volunteering, and helping us share the love of reading throughout our community.

A huge thank you to Orting Scout Pack & Troop 560 for building and donating this adorable book donation box! We are so grateful for your support in helping us make book donations even easier for our community.

We are still accepting book donations! Simply bring your books to the Orting Public Library and place them in our new donation box. Our amazing volunteers will take care of the rest.

Have a larger donation? Send us a message, and we’ll be happy to arrange a pickup.
