The Cook MN Lions and Cook VFW will be serving a lasagna dinner this Thursday night 5/21 from 5:00-6:30 or until gone. Dinner will include lasagna, garlic bread, salad and a cupcake. The cost is $10.00 and takeout will be available.

We wanted to send a huge thank you to the Orr Lions for donating $3000 towards our school supply drive for North Woods Elementary!!!

Our hope is to raise enough funds so the teachers won’t have to send home a supply list to any student next fall.

Moments like this are an important reminder of how lucky the Orr area is to have volunteer fire and ambulance services available when our community needs them most. Their dedication, training, sacrifice, and willingness to answer the call at all hours help protect our residents, visitors, businesses, homes, and families.

The City of Orr would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Orr Volunteer Fire Department and Orr Ambulance Service for their quick response, professionalism, and unwavering commitment during the wildfire threat near Nett Lake Road.

We are also incredibly thankful to all agencies, dispatchers, pilots, firefighters, medics, and neighboring departments who worked together to protect lives, homes, businesses, and our beautiful Northwoods communities.

Thank you all for protecting our community and reminding us what true teamwork and service look like. ❤️
