Outreach was such a blessing today. It started off slow, but right when it seemed quiet, God began bringing people our way. We had the opportunity to pray with several individuals and families, and it was amazing to see how grateful and open people were to receive prayer. At one point, while we were already praying with someone, another person stepped into the circle and asked for prayer too.

By the end of the outreach, everything we had brought to give away was gone, and our hearts were full from seeing God move in so many simple but powerful ways. Days like this are a reminder that when we step out in faith and make ourselves available, God is faithful to do the rest. If you've ever thought about joining an outreach, I encourage you to come, you may be surprised by the joy and impact of simply showing up and loving people.

Sometimes when we pray for people, they turn around and ask if they can pray for us too.

Those moments are always so special. It’s their way of wanting to bless us back with what they have.

We love these opportunities because it becomes more than just praying for someone in a moment. It becomes discipleship. We get to encourage people that they can talk to God themselves, pray boldly, and open the Word for themselves too.

Today while we were out, I kept thinking about what Jesus says in Matthew, that when we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the lonely, and give water to those in need, we do it unto Him.

As we looked into every set of eyes today, I kept seeing Jesus.Jesus, this is for You.

Our love for Him has to look like something.

Today I was reminded how powerful our words can be in someone’s life. We carry the opportunity to give people an encounter with the living Jesus in us. When we choose to speak, He fills our mouth.

It’s easy to hold back because of insecurity, but it’s not really about us. Jesus wants to meet His people, and He chooses to reveal Himself through us. What a beautiful thing that is.

What would it look like for you to let Jesus speak through you into someone's life this week?

Are we seeing the long game when we meet people?

Lately, Jesus has been reminding me that the moments that seem insignificant often matter the most.

It’s been incredible to see people we first met on the streets now coming to church with us.

Action point: This week, don’t overlook the small moments. Stop, listen, and love the person in front of you well- you never know what seed God is planting.

Being faithful to God also looks like being faithful to people.

There is something really powerful about consistently showing up for people on outreach. Just being there, being present, and coming back again matters so much. This is often where discipleship starts.

Today we set up in one spot and got to talk with a lot of people. Before that, we did a quick house check-in with a young man we had met before. It has been amazing to watch his heart open a little more every time we see him.

Every person we stop for, listen to, pray with, and take time to talk to matters. Even in simple conversations, something is being planted. We may not always see it right away, but seeds of hope and seeds of Jesus are going into their hearts.

Going on outreach each week has a twofold purpose. The obvious one is the mission in front of us where we go out looking for people to love on. The second is building community, where we encourage and pray for one another as we do ministry together.

Each week we learn so much from each other from how to pray for people to how to listen well.

Today, we talked about the need to expand our mission and reach as our community outreach team is growing!

If you’ve been wanting to step into something like this, come join us, we’d love to have you.

One mistake we can make during Outreach is only looking for people who appear to be in need- those who visibly lack practical things or hope. But the truth is, without Jesus, every one of us is searching for something to anchor our soul.

Hebrews 6:19 reminds us that Jesus is that anchor.

So today we brought the usual food, plus some special homemade cookies from someone on the team, and just looked for anyone to love and share Jesus with.

Today we went out with the focus of inviting people to church. We were never meant to live life isolated, God’s plan has always been for us to live in community, united as one body.

We put up flyers around town and met many people, sharing about our Easter service.

If you don’t have a church to go to, we would love to welcome you this Sunday. And if you already have a church, we encourage you to invite someone to join you this week!

At our debrief after outreach, one of our team shared a moment I can’t stop thinking about.

After talking with a woman, he told her to be careful crossing the street, then paused and said, “Actually, let me walk you over.” Without hesitation, he took her hand and helped her across.

She looked at him and said she couldn’t remember the last time someone had held her hand. Then she says, “I wonder if this is what it feels like to let Jesus hold our hand and lead us.”

Today, I saw something so clear in our team- every single person knew who lived inside them. And as we carried that with confidence, Jesus met people in powerful, personal ways.

There are too many testimonies to share, but I’m in awe of how Jesus uses us to bring truth, and when people encounter truth, it changes everything.

Will you be someone who shares that truth?
