“𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥 𝙤𝙛 𝙠𝙞𝙙𝙨?” an elderly woman asked me while standing in line at Chick-fil-A.

I replied, “𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙥 𝙤𝙛 𝙠𝙞𝙙𝙨?”

She smiled and said, “𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙤 𝙥𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙚. 𝙄 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚!”

What a wonderful compliment and a reflection of the kind of kids we have on this team!

After honoring our seniors last Thursday, we took the celebration to Chick-fil-A to party the night away with our swimmers and a few parents! It was the perfect ending to a special night, not just for our seniors, but for the entire team. One thing’s for sure, these kids know how to have FUN together, both in and out of the pool!

Keep making them waves, Nighthawks! 🌊💙

What a special night celebrating our Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks Class of 2027 seniors! An evening filled with smiles, memories, heartfelt words from our amazing coaches, and a whole lot of love and support from teammates and families!

These seniors have made their mark both in and out of the pool, and what a wonderful way to celebrate them!

Looking back on our final home meet of the season (10/1/26), when our Ironwood Ridge-Swim & Dive Club hosted the Canyon del Oro Dorados and Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions! 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️🌊

Such a GREAT evening of swimming, sportsmanship and support! Y’all were cheering each other on, not just as teammates, but across all three schools. And the energy from our coaches, families and everyone on deck made it even more special!

Such a wonderful meet to look back on and a season full of great memories. Even better we was a visit from a few of last year’s senior. Keep making them waves, Nighthawks!

On the last Thursday in September the Ironwood Ridge High School Boys & Girls Swim Team made a HUGE splash!
🏊‍♀️💦🏊‍♂️
Our Nighthawks took on the Tucson High Badgers and put together some really great swims and an all-around strong team performance. Watching these kids cheer each other on along with a boatload of their parents was an awesome site to see and hear.
We owe so much to our three amazing coaches Tony D., Sammy G. & Sean S. for leading the charge.

The team then took it beyond the pool celebrating afterward at MOD Pizza for the IRHS Swim & Dive Booster Club’s “Raising Some Dough” FUNdraiser!

Keep making them waves, Nighthawks! 🌊
