With the change of the weather and the seasons, don't leave your dog in the car unattended, and most definitely, be aware that the pavement is a lot hotter for their paws than you with your shoes!
Make sure that your dogs have plenty of fresh water available, and on extreme hot days, that they have a cool shelter inside for safety.

βοΈ HOT DAYS CAN HURT DOGS βοΈ
As temperatures rise, so does the danger for our pets. Hot pavement and extreme heat can cause painful burns, heat exhaustion, and even heat stroke in minutes. πΎ
π₯ Remember:
β’ Asphalt can reach 125Β°+ even when the air temperature feels manageable
β’ If you canβt hold the back of your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds, itβs too hot for your dogβs paws
β’ Heat stroke is a medical emergency β act fast if you notice excessive panting, lethargy, vomiting, difficulty breathing, or collapse
πΆ Dogs most at risk:
β’ Short-nosed breeds
β’ Long-haired breeds
β’ Puppies & senior dogs
β’ Overweight or medically fragile pets
π§ Keep your pets safe:
β’ Walk early morning or late evening
β’ Always provide cool, fresh water
β’ Take shade and cooling breaks
β’ NEVER leave pets in parked cars
Your dog depends on you to help them stay safe this summer. β€οΈπΎ
