We are building capacity. For some, it’s direct aid. For others, it’s mutual aid networks or creating entirely new survival programs outside the traditional system. There’s groups doing resource mapping, skills sharing, power mapping and using tech to meet community needs.

We are all fighting a system with multiple legs. We need to cross-reference, strategize, and create multiple attack lanes or we won’t get anywhere.

We need to connect. We need to meet. If you are doing this work, we need to talk. This is a call to action, outreach can only do so much, but if you see this, contact us now. Let’s build the alternative together.

What Changes When We Stop the Shame
When we stop shaming people for asking for money:

* We acknowledge that the economy is broken, not the people
* We recognize that mutual aid is a right, not a favor
* We build networks that don't collapse when one paycheck fails
* We reclaim the power to say we take care of each other without apology
