💔 Bruno is only 3 years old, and he needs someone willing to give him a chance.

🥹 Friendly, sweet boy

Bruno currently does not have use of his rear legs. His back legs are hyperextended, and he needs assistance with a sling to walk at least 3 times a day.

But Bruno CAN urinate and defecate on his own, and he is friendly and able to be handled. He simply needs more hands-on care and medical support than the shelter is able to provide.

And now he has a deadline.

🚨 BRUNO MUST HAVE PLACEMENT BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2 AT 5 PM. 🚨

Bruno needs a FOSTER + RESCUE willing to step up and get him the evaluation and care he deserves. His mobility challenges should not mean his life ends at only 3 years old.

💔 Jimmy has been at the shelter since AUGUST without much adoption interest. Now he has a deadline.

Meet JIMMY — A604135 🐾
6 years old • 75 lbs • Neutered • Heartworm negative

Jimmy is described as wonderful, kind and very friendly. He allows full handling and even appears to be house-trained.

But Jimmy has chronic skin allergies.

Despite receiving treatment at the shelter, his condition has shown little improvement. He needs to leave the shelter so he can receive further veterinary evaluation, testing and treatment.

And because of those medical needs, Jimmy now needs rescue placement by October 4.

This sweet boy has already spent weeks waiting for someone to notice him. He shouldn’t lose his chance at a future because his skin needs medical care.

Jimmy has not been successfully paired with another dog at the shelter, so any home with another dog would need separation initially and slow, appropriate, supervised introductions.

Thor is 9 years old, and right now, what he needs more than anything is someone willing to give him a chance.

This beautiful senior gentleman is described as sweet and friendly with everyone he meets — people AND dogs. ❤️

While Thor was being neutered, a mass was discovered on his lower abdomen. He now needs to leave the shelter and be seen by a full-service veterinarian to find out exactly what he’s dealing with.

⚠️ PLEASE DON’T LET HIS MEDICAL NEEDS SCARE YOU AWAY FROM FOSTERING.

A rescue will cover Thor’s medical expenses.
He just needs a foster willing to give him a safe place to stay while he gets the care he needs.

Thor doesn’t know there’s a deadline.

💔 He’s been waiting since JUNE. Now the kennel is starting to break him down.
⏰ DEADLINE: OCTOBER 4TH

Look at that smile. 🥺

Dozer is only 5 years old. He was once adopted from this very shelter—but somehow ended up back here as a stray in June, skinny, deteriorated and looking much older than his age.

For months, he has waited.

And waited.

And somehow, through all of it, Dozer has remained an incredibly friendly, social boy.

🐾 He loves people.
🎾 He plays fetch.
❤️ He allows full handling.
🦴 He’s food motivated.
🐕 He was non-reactive to dogs and people passing his yard.
🐶 He has even been easily paired with another dog.

But now something is changing.

Dozer is heavily vocalizing in his kennel and beginning to show kennel reactivity.

The shelter stress is getting to him.

He doesn’t need another month behind kennel doors.
He needs a home where he can finally exhale.

🚨 DOZER NEEDS RESCUE PLACEMENT BY OCTOBER 4TH — AND A FOSTER COULD BE THE PERSON WHO MAKES THAT POSSIBLE.

Dozer does have medical needs. He has ongoing eye discharge/mild entropion and patchy hair loss, with chronic allergies suspected. He has been receiving treatment and medicated baths and will need veterinary follow-up for his skin and eyes.

He has already lost one home.
He came back as a stray.
He has spent months waiting.

Junior has been let down again and again.

He originally came into the shelter in April after being confiscated because of inadequate living conditions. He was reclaimed shortly afterward — only to find himself back at the shelter again in August.

This time, his owner did not come back for him.

At only 3 years old, Junior deserves so much better than repeatedly finding himself without a safe, permanent home.

Despite everything, Junior is still social and excited to spend time with people.

Poor Ella has already been adopted and returned, and now she needs someone willing to give her the patience and stability she deserves.

Ella allows leashing, walks very nicely, and seeks out social interaction. She can initially be leery of people and has a little bit of a sassy, selective side. Once she chooses her person, though, she can become very attached and may become protective of them.

What Ella needs most is a calm, patient home willing to help her build confidence and become her best self through positive, reward-based training.

🐶 DOG FRIENDLY WITH PROPER INTRODUCTIONS: Ella has been paired with other dogs at the shelter and could live with canine siblings with slow and appropriate introductions.

Ella has already experienced the heartbreak of being returned. She needs someone who will not let her down again.
