Nineteen people walked through our doors this weekend looking for dental care. Nineteen people left knowing someone showed up for them.

Behind every appointment, every procedure, and every relieved smile are volunteers like these two. They gave up part of their weekend not because they had to, but because they believe everyone deserves access to care.

The number is 19. The impact is so much bigger.

Some people left tonight with one less burden to carry.

That’s the impact of access to care.

Thank you to our volunteer providers and pre-dental students who chose to spend their evening serving our community’s most vulnerable neighbors. Your compassion reached far beyond the dental chair.

While many of us take for granted that we can call a dentist when we’re in pain, countless members of our community don’t have that privilege. For some of the patients we served today, ongoing dental infections and untreated dental problems have led to repeated emergency room visits with no lasting solution.

Thanks to the incredible volunteers who gave their entire Saturday, those same patients are going home tonight with relief and a path towards healing.

Every smile restored, every infection treated, and every patient cared for is a reminder that access to dental care should never be out of reach. We are beyond grateful for the volunteers who showed up with skill, generosity, and big hearts to serve those who needed it most.

Today wasn’t just about dental care, it was about reminding our neighbors that they matter.

Thank you to every volunteer who made this day possible. Your impact will be felt long after today.

Dental Care Access Foundation is proud to provide FREE dental services for eligible children ages 0–17 in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties.

📍 Near Downtown Orlando (location provided after appointment is scheduled)

Services include:

✔️ Dental Cleaning
✔️ Limited Exam
✔️ Sealants
✔️ Fluoride Treatment

Some people left tonight smiling for the first time in years. Others left free from infection, free from pain, and others are now one step closer to receiving critical oncology treatment.

That is the power of accessible healthcare. That is the power of community.

At tonight’s event, we were reminded that oral health cannot be separated from overall health and that everyone deserves compassionate care, regardless of circumstance.

Tonight was a powerful reminder of what compassion in action looks like.

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Hochfelder and Dr. Hall for so generously giving of their time, talent, and care to serve so many in our community. Your dedication is changing lives in ways that go far beyond dentistry.
We are also incredibly grateful for the UCF Pre Dental students who stepped up to support and assist throughout the evening. Your passion and willingness to serve does not go unnoticed.

And to our amazing interns, thank you for working behind the scenes to qualify and schedule each patient, helping make it all possible.

There are so many people in our community who are in need of healing, and together we are making a difference, one smile at a time. This really is the good life!

Today was more than just an event. It was a reminder of what compassion in action truly looks like.

Because of the incredible kindness, skill, and dedication of our volunteers, 22 lives were touched, changed, and uplifted. Twenty two individuals walked in with need and uncertainty and walked out with renewed confidence, hope, and a reason to smile again.

This is what happens when people come together with a shared purpose. To serve, to care, and to make a difference one smile at a time.

To every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and heart, thank you. You did more than provide care today. You restored dignity, sparked joy, and reminded each patient that they matter.

Moments like these are why we do what we do. And we are just getting started.

Today, 38 children are smiling brighter.

For many of them, our in-school DCAF Dental Days were the very first time we met. The first connection. The first step toward care.

Then today, those uninsured children came back to us for our Kids Smiles Event where we provided comprehensive preventive dental care including exams, prophy, sealants, fluoride, and oral hygiene instruction.

But what makes this day so powerful isn’t just the care delivered. It’s what comes next.

Each child was paired with one of our incredible community partners to establish a dental home they can call their own. A place for continued care. A place where they belong.

This is how access becomes impact.

This is how relationships become lasting change.

None of this would be possible without our amazing volunteers - Dr. Gwin, Dr. Keskar, Dr. Priscilla, Renata RDH, our Intern Team, and the support of University of Central Florida Pre-Dental Student Association. Because of you, 38 children have healthier smiles and a future filled with possibility. Thank You!

Today, the Dental Care Access Foundation is proud to host our Kid Smiles outreach event at Pacha and Bijan Dental.

Because of the incredible generosity of our volunteer team of Dr. Bijan, Dr. Keskar, Dr. Priscilla, the UCF PDSA team, and our devoted volunteer hygienists, children who may otherwise go without care are receiving something priceless today: comfort, dignity, and hope.

We believe dentistry should never be a luxury. It is a necessity. And today is a powerful reminder of what happens when compassion meets action.

To our volunteers: thank you for showing up with open hearts, steady hands, and a genuine desire to serve. Thank you for choosing kindness, for creating safe spaces for little smiles, and for reminding these children that they matter. Your time, your talent, and your love are making a lasting impact far beyond today.
