What an incredible Saturday!

Today, 16 people in our community are taking a step toward a healthier life because volunteers chose to give their time, their talents, and their hearts. These aren’t just patients, they’re our neighbors. They’re our friends. They’re members of our community who deserve care, compassion, and a healthier future.

A huge thank-you to Dr. Desravines for going above and beyond to help make this day possible. And to our pre-dental students who gave up their Saturday to serve others: thank you. Your willingness to show up, serve, and change lives, one person at a time, is truly inspiring.

We are so grateful for every person who gave their Saturday to make a difference. This is what community looks like. This is what compassion looks like. This is what changing lives looks like.

When people think about emergency room diversion, they often picture primary care clinics treating illnesses before they become emergencies. But dental care plays an equally important role.

19 patients. One amazing Saturday.

Today, 19 uninsured members of our community received the dental care they needed thanks to an incredible team of volunteers.

Huge thank you to Dr. Port and Dr. Mejias for leading the way, and to all of the UCF Pre-Dental students who stepped up as chairside assistants. Your teamwork, compassion, and willingness to serve made today possible.

Days like today are a reminder that when people come together to serve, lives are changed - one patient, one smile, and one act of kindness at a time. We’re so grateful for everyone who gave their Saturday to make a difference.

🦷✨ Kid Smiles - Free Dental Event! ✨🦷

Dental Care Access Foundation is proud to provide FREE dental services for eligible children ages 0–17 in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties.

Services include:

✔️ Sealants
✔️ Fluoride Treatment
✔️ Oral Hygiene Instructions

This event is designed to serve low-income, uninsured, and underserved families and is offered at no cost to pediatric patients.

An oral surgeon and a pre-dental student. Two different stages of the same journey, brought together by one purpose: caring for people who need it most.

Some patients come to us needing dental care. Others come needing someone to believe in them.

On this day, they found both.

Before the cookouts.
Before the fireworks.
Before the long weekend.

Our volunteers showed up.

On July 2, they spent their evening helping patients who couldn't wait until after the holiday. Dental infections don't take weekends off, and neither did this incredible team.

Because of their generosity, our patients were able to celebrate with family instead of suffering through pain.
We are endlessly grateful for every volunteer who continues to give their time, talents, and hearts to make moments like these possible.

Ten smiles welcomed.

Ten people who almost went another day, another week, another month without the care they needed.

Ten doesn’t sound like much in a world obsessed with big numbers.

But if you’re one of those ten people, it’s everything.

Tonight’s clinic was made possible by volunteers who chose to
spend their evening helping neighbors they may never meet again.

Quiet generosity. Real impact.

That’s what community looks like.

Nineteen people walked through our doors this weekend looking for dental care. Nineteen people left knowing someone showed up for them.

Behind every appointment, every procedure, and every relieved smile are volunteers like these two. They gave up part of their weekend not because they had to, but because they believe everyone deserves access to care.

The number is 19. The impact is so much bigger.

Thank you to the volunteers who turned a weekend into something meaningful for our patients and our community.
