Making your own pizza dough is easy and inexpensive. Here’s a good recipe - you can find this type of flour easily at Publix as well.

It takes:
1lb+2oz pizza or bread flour
2t superfine sugar
1 3/4 t fine sea salt
1t instant dried yeast
11oz lukewarm water
3t EVOO

Using a stand mixer with a dough hook is easiest.

🍕 In the mixing bowl combine the flour, sugar, salt and yeast.

🍕 In a separate bowl combine the water and oil

🍕 turn the mixer on low and start to slowly incorporate the liquid. It takes about 2-3 min. Rest the dough for 1 min and then mix again for 1-2 min until a smooth ball forms. You can add a bit of flour if the dough seems too wet or sticky. And then mix another minute.

You can do this by hand but you’ll be kneading it for about 8 minutes.

Next - put the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover tightly putting it in a warm place for about 2 hours and when it has doubled in size.

Then - separate the dough into 4 parts. Shape each into a ball and oil them on a lightly oiled tray for 3-4 more hours while it doubles in size again.

When you’re ready to make the pizza just take one of the balls and a floured surface pushing it into a 9in circle. Then it’s ready for the oven!

Mama Mia was this ever GOOD! If you’ve never been to Mia’s in Orlando for brunch - GO! Everything was outstanding and the leftovers tasted even better the second time around. Definitely great meal. $35pp all you can eat - scratch kitchen. So good.

River Deck Tiki Bar and Restaurant in New Smyrna - a tucked away little place. Weather was perfect. Food was ok. This is a crab dip flatbread and a blackened salmon with mango salsa. Nice little place to go if you want to sit near the water. They even had a water taxi if you need a ride to the other side.
