🎂 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗛𝗨𝗚𝗘 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟳 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱. ❤️
Meet Mariana! For her 7th birthday, Mariana made a pretty incredible decision! Instead of asking her friends and family for birthday presents, she asked them to make donations to Hunter's Village Rescue. 🥹

Why HVR? Because Mariana LOVES dogs, and her awesome grandparents have adopted two HVR pups over the years 🐶🐶. Apparently those rescue dogs have made quite the impression on one very special little girl. ❤️

We are desperate for Fosters! Our most urgent need is small dog fosters. These babies all need help!

Even if you only foster one dog ever, that’s one life saved! You do not have to commit to multiple fosters! We provide any needed supplies & cover all medical. You provide a temporary safe loving home while we get them ready for adoption.

Here is his mom’s recipe. This boy loves his spoiled life!

32 oz plain Greek yogurt + 1 ripe banana + ⅓ cup organic peanut butter (make sure your peanut butter is xylitol-free). His mom freezes it in little ice cream cups. ❤️

❤️🐾Home Furever Home ❤️🐾

And just like that... our Luxury Car Litter is officially ALL HOME! 🥹

Our sweet Austin (now Dallas) is home forever! His new family has been rescuing dogs for an incredible 34 years. Just seven weeks before applying to adopt, they suffered the heartbreaking loss of their beloved Jake to cancer at only 5½ years old. 💔 Jake left behind his best friend, 8½-year-old Layla, and his family knew that eventually they wanted to give another rescue dog a wonderful life and hopefully give Layla a new companion, too.

Enter Dallas. ❤️

Now, Layla wasn't about to make things TOO easy. 😂 She needed a little time to decide how she felt about this energetic youngster suddenly joining her household.
But once she realized apparently this kid is staying, she decided she might as well welcome him into the family.

And now? They're pals. 🥹

Dallas recently tipped the scales at just over 50 pounds, officially making him the smallest of our Luxury Car babies, but there is certainly nothing small about the amount of love this boy has to give.

And his new life? Oh, it's rough. 😂
He has a fenced yard and pool, toys scattered throughout the house, family adventures to look forward to, and has discovered the absolute luxury of lounging poolside in front of the mister fan. Apparently once you've been named after a luxury car, you develop certain expectations. 🤣

For his six-month birthday, Mom even made him his very own homemade pup ice cream. 🍦🐾

What we love most is knowing that he joined a family where dogs aren't simply pets; they're family. Their dogs travel with them, spend their days alongside them and are included in the life they build together.
Dallas will never replace the friend Layla lost, nor was he meant to. But sometimes a new friendship can help make a home that has experienced loss feel a little fuller again. ❤️

Happy forever, sweet Dallas. We think Jake would be pretty happy knowing another rescue pup gets to experience all the love he knew.

Need something FUN to do today that also does a whole lot of GOOD? Come join us at Studio K from 11 AM–1 PM for their first Studio K-9 event in Hunter’s Creek!

And then there were two! 🥹

Our second Powerpuff Girl has officially found her forever home!

Buttercup’s family came to us after seeing one of our desperate pleas for fosters. They are huge dog lovers who had recently experienced the heartbreak of losing both of their dogs 💔. Their hearts just weren’t ready for another permanent family member yet, but fostering felt like the perfect way to open their home, help a dog in need, and make a difference without making that commitment.

📣Enter Buttercup.

Apparently no one explained the “temporary” part to her. 😂

Little Miss Buttercup worked her magic in record time, and it didn’t take long for her fosters to realize something very important:
She wasn’t going anywhere. 🥹

Buttercup now has a huge, gorgeous yard for running and playing, two teenage siblings she absolutely adores, and a family who is always ready when it’s time to snuggle. ❤️

They may not have thought their hearts were ready, but sometimes the right dog comes along and shows you there’s still a little room you didn’t know was there.
They fell unexpectedly and completely in love with this little girl, and now they can’t imagine their family without her.

We have a feeling Buttercup knew exactly what she was doing all along. 😉💚

🐾𝗛𝗩𝗥 𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗠𝗡𝗜 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: 𝗗𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗦 🐾

Before he was Dallas, this handsome pittie had a slightly more distinguished name...

𝗖𝗼𝗰𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗽 𝗕𝘂𝗯𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀.😂❤️

And before HVR became part of his story, Coco Pop Bubbles had a wonderful life. He spent his first few years very loved by his mom. Sadly, she passed away unexpectedly, and although her adult children tried to keep her dogs together and continue the life she had given them, eventually they realized they needed some help.

That's when HVR was contacted about Coco Pop Bubbles and his buddy, Spotty. When he came to HVR, life had clearly taken a toll. His coat was thin and unhealthy-looking, and he wasn't quite the handsome, shiny boy you see today.

Coco Pop Bubbles eventually found an adopter, got a much more dignified name, 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘀, and headed off to start his new life.

Except Dallas apparently had other plans. 🤦‍♀️

Let's just say he sabotaged that adoption in spectacular fashion, and before long...

𝗬𝗲𝗽. 𝗛𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸. 😂

A few more applications came along, but the meet and greets made it pretty clear they weren't quite right either.

Until one day, Foster Dad looked at Foster Mom and asked:

"𝗛𝗲'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗲?"

Nope. ❤️

And the rest is history.

Today Dallas is almost 𝟵 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱 and living exactly the life he was apparently determined to have all along. He's our resident love bug, professional Velcro dog and approximately 60 pounds of pittie who remains completely convinced that he is a lap dog. And as you can see from these photos, the glow-up has been pretty spectacular.

Being near his people isn't enough. Dallas prefers to be touching you at all times. 😂
