DAY 4 — SURROUNDED BY FAVOR

Scripture

“Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.” — Psalm 5:12

Devotional

God’s favor is not merely getting everything we want.

God’s favor is His gracious hand upon our lives, positioning us to accomplish His purposes.

Favor can open doors we couldn’t open ourselves, create opportunities we couldn’t manufacture, and connect us with people we couldn’t reach on our own.

Today we pray:

“God, surround my life with favor so I can accomplish Your purpose.”

Prayer Points

1. Surround me with favor like a shield.

2. Give me favor with God and people.

3. Open doors that align with Your will.
Revelation 3:8

4. Let Your favor rest upon the work of our hands.

Father, let Your favor surround us like a shield. Open the doors You want opened and close the doors You don’t want us walking through. Establish the work of our hands and use our lives for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.

DAY 3 — CLEAN HANDS AND PURE HEARTS

Scripture

“Come close to God, and God will come close to you.” — James 4:8

Devotional

Fasting isn’t about trying to convince God to come closer.

It helps us remove distractions so we can draw closer to Him.

Today is a day of surrender and repentance. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal attitudes, habits, relationships, distractions, or compromises that need to change.

Our prayer is:

“God, whatever is keeping me from more of You, reveal it and remove it.”

Prayer Points

1. Search my heart.
Psalm 139:23–24

2. Create in me a clean heart.
Psalm 51:10

3. Help me draw near to You.
James 4:8

4. Purify Your church and make us hungry for Your presence.
2 Timothy 2:21

Pray

Father, search me. Reveal anything that is keeping me from walking closely with You. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. We consecrate ourselves to You again. In Jesus’ name, amen.

DAY 2 — WISDOM BEGINS HERE

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” — Proverbs 9:10

Devotional

We need more than information—we need God’s wisdom.

Scripture tells us where wisdom begins: the fear of the Lord.

When we honor God above our opinions, feelings, culture, and preferences, we position ourselves to hear His wisdom.

Today we are praying:

“Lord, don’t just give me what I want. Give me the wisdom to know what You want.”

Prayer Points

1. Give me wisdom for every decision in front of me.
James 1:5

2. Help me acknowledge You before making my plans.
Proverbs 3:5–7

3. Give our families wisdom concerning relationships, finances, careers, children, and our futures.
Proverbs 2:6

4. Give our church leadership supernatural wisdom.
Colossians 1:9

Pray

Father, You are the source of wisdom. Teach us to honor You in every decision. Give us wisdom that comes from heaven. Direct our steps individually, in our families, and as a church. In Jesus’ name, amen.

DAY 1 — GIVE ME A HEART THAT FEARS YOU

Scripture

“Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.” — Psalm 86:11

Devotional

The fear of the Lord is not being terrified that God is going to hurt us. It is having such awe, reverence, honor, and respect for God that who He is affects how we live.

David prayed for an undivided heart. Our prayer today is simple:

“God, give me a heart that takes You seriously.”

We don’t want to become casual with God’s presence, God’s Word, or God’s ways.

Prayer Points

1. God, give me an undivided heart.
Psalm 86:11

Remove anything competing with You for first place in my heart.

2. Give me a greater reverence for Your presence.
Hebrews 12:28

Help me never become casual with holy things.

3. Teach me to hate what You hate and love what You love.
Proverbs 8:13

Change my desires until they align with Yours.

4. Let the fear of the Lord rest upon our church.
Acts 9:31

May we walk in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

Pray

Father, teach me to fear You. Give me an undivided heart. Remove anything in me that has become casual toward You. Restore awe, honor, reverence, and obedience in my life. Let the fear of the Lord fill my family and our church. In Jesus’ name, amen.
