🎄🩸 Christmas is a season of giving, but why wait until December?

This Christmas in July, we're asking our community to give a gift that can't be bought- the gift of life.

Central Florida's blood supply is critically low, and patients in our hospitals depend on generous donors every day. Whether it's someone battling cancer, recovering from surgery, or facing a medical emergency, your blood donation could make all the difference.

Join us in spreading the spirit of generosity this July. Schedule your blood donation, encourage a friend to donate with you, and help bring hope to those who need it most. Share a photo of yourself donating blood to inspire others. The more donors, the better; every pint of blood donated has the potential to save up to three lives.

💚Nothing brings people together quite like a Southern BBQ! 💚

The JBMF team recently served one of Jason's favorite meals at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida in Downtown Orlando: 40 plates of BBQ pulled pork, macaroni & cheese, coleslaw, green beans with bacon, fresh rolls, and chocolate chip cookies.

Every plate was prepared and served with love for the families staying at RMH. It was more than just a meal—it was a way to share comfort, kindness, and a little bit of Jason's spirit. A true Southern feast that Jason would have been proud of! ☘

As we celebrate our nation's independence and look ahead to America's 250th birthday, we're reminded that our country's greatest strength lies in the love of family, the support of our communities, and the legacies we leave behind.

We are beyond grateful for the incredible response to this year’s JBMF Adversity Scholarship. The applications we received were thoughtful, powerful, and a true reflection of resilience and heart within our community.

☘💚 Happy St. Patrick's Day from JBMF! Throwing it back to Jason at the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Boston around 2009. Always one to have fun...we planned his Multiple Myeloma DR appointment at Dana Farber in Boston around the day so we could celebrate St. Patrick's Day up there!

🚨 ONE DAY LEFT – JBMF Scholarship Deadline

Today is the final day to apply for the Jason Beaird Memorial Foundation Scholarship.

We are awarding around ten $1,000 scholarships to graduating Orange County High School seniors who have overcome adversity, just as Jason did.

To apply you must
• Have at least a 2.5 GPA
• Complete 30 community service or employment hours
• Submit written responses about an adversity that you have overcome
• Upload your transcript including first semester senior year grades
• Letter of recommendation (optional but highly recommended)

Applications close once the first 100 are received or at the end of today, March 17, 2026.

Today marks 13 years since we lost Jason.

Jason Beaird passed away in March 2013 after battling multiple myeloma at just 42 years old. He was a devoted husband and father, a passionate athlete, a coach, and someone who never stopped giving back to others. Even after his diagnosis, he continued competing in triathlons, coaching baseball, and raising money for charities because he believed in living life fully every single day.

Jason never let cancer define him. He lived with strength, humor, determination, and a heart for helping people.

The Jason Beaird Memorial Foundation exists to carry forward that spirit through scholarships, community partnerships, and service. Every event, every volunteer, and every student impacted is a reminder that his story did not end in 2013. It continues through all of us.

We miss you every day, Jason.
