Orange County Children's Trust Initiative

Our mission is to partner with the community to plan, advocate for, and fund the establishment of a Children's Trust in Orange County.

This will be accomplished through a community driven ballot initiative.

September is National Childhood Obesity Month. According to the American Heart Association, child obesity rates in America have tripled, with nearly 1 in 3 children being overweight or obese. Make sure your child has meals consisting of veggies and fruits, as well as daily exercise.

International Overdose Awareness Day has an annual goal of ending and destigmatizing overdoses. For those who have lost a loved one due to an overdose or experienced one know that you are loved and we support your journey of sobriety and grief.

August is Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) month. According to Bayada Home Healthcare, one in every 6,000 babies is born with SMA, with SMA occurring in about 8/100,000 live births.

On August 26, 1920, the 19th amendment was ratified into the Constitution. This allowed for women to have the right to vote. Voting continues to be an important right that is challenged. We've made great strides, but still have a long way to go for universal suffrage for all Americans.
