Teach's Cove Kayak Fishing Tournament Targeting Trout, Flounder, and Drum The past two years have been extremely successful. We're still looking for more sponsors and anglers!

We had over 35 anglers (many more came to eat and socialize) the first year of our tournament, and many fish were caught. Everyone had a good time, and we raised $1,700 for the local volunteer fire department. Last year, even in the immediate wake of Hurricane Irene, we were able to maintain our numbers and still raise $1,250 for the Pamlico Partnership for Children. This year, we're going to boun

ce back from Hurricane Irene and donate the proceeds to the Pamlico County Disaster Recovery Coalition, an organization dedicated to helping Pamlico County victims rebuild their homes and receive all the help they need to fully recover from the storm.
