We Need YOU in Shantell Ogden’s New Lyric Video! 🤠🎶
Shantell Ogden, our new 40 Something Cowgirls National Spokesperson, has officially released her new song “Cowgirlin’” — and if you haven’t heard it yet, you need to! 🎶🤠

Shantell is creating a lyric video for the song, and she wants to feature OUR 40 Something Cowgirls in it!
That means we need your photos — and we need a LOT of them!

📸 We need 80–100 photos, and we need them QUICKLY! Oct 2nd by midnight!
We’re looking for great photos that show who we are. Riding, laughing with your Cowgirl sisters, out on an adventure, at a 40SC event, with your horse, or just being YOU.

A few important things:
• Please send good-quality, high-resolution photos — original photos straight from your phone are best.
• No screenshots or photos downloaded from Facebook, if possible.
• Photos can be of you individually or with your fellow 40 Somethings.
• Fun, authentic photos are exactly what we want!

This is such a fun opportunity to showcase the women who make 40 Something Cowgirls what it is — and you just might see yourself in Shantell’s new video!

Life has a funny way of taking turns we never planned for. Friendships change. Families change. Plans change. **We change.** And sometimes the trail we were so sure we were supposed to be on suddenly heads in a completely different direction.

There are so many new faces joining our sisterhood lately, so I thought it was the perfect time to introduce myself.

Hi! I'm Kristi Williams, founder of 40 Something Cowgirls.

Back in 2010, I had a simple dream—to create a place where women could find genuine friendship, encouragement, and adventure. A place where no one had to feel like they were navigating this stage of life alone. What started as one small idea has grown into an incredible sisterhood with chapters across the country, and I still pinch myself when I see the friendships, support, and memories being made every single day.

One of the things I love most is that you don't have to own a horse—or even ride—to belong here. If you love the western spirit, enjoy meeting amazing women, and believe life is still full of adventures waiting to happen, you've found your people.

Whether you're brand new, have been a member for years, or are thinking about joining, I want you to know this...

You matter here.

I hope you'll jump into conversations, attend local events, introduce yourself, and say yes to new experiences. Some of the best friendships begin with a simple hello.

Who has made your journey better? 💕

July’s Sisterhood Series Challenge theme is Side by Side, and this month is all about the women who make the ride, the road, and the journey better.

It is not about how far you ride. It is about the laughter, encouragement, conversations, and friendships built along the way. Some of the best memories are not made because of where we rode, but because of who rode beside us.

This month, we invite you to connect with another 40 Something Cowgirl. Ride together, grab lunch, welcome someone new, reconnect with a sister you have missed, or simply reach out with a kind word.

To participate:
Register for the July Sisterhood Series Challenge through the 40SC website or Wild Apricot app.

To complete the challenge:
Post a photo in the 40 Something Cowgirls Facebook group with a fellow Cowgirl and tell us how she has impacted your journey. Be sure to include your name, chapter, photo, and a short caption so your participation can be counted.

Today marks the final day of our June Sisterhood Series Challenge: Ride Free!

✨ Have you shared your freedom moment yet?

Maybe it was:

✨ A trail, arena, or adventure that filled your soul
✨ A breakthrough with your horse

Your story doesn't have to be big to be meaningful. Sometimes freedom is found in the simplest moments. 🤍

🤎 "I'd love to get involved... but where do I start?"

If you've ever asked yourself that question, this week's Heart Check is for you.

Getting involved in 40 Something Cowgirls doesn't mean you have to do everything. Sometimes it starts with showing up to a chapter ride, introducing yourself to another member, volunteering to lend a hand, or simply saying "yes" to a new experience.
