People are struggling and the need for supplemental food is growing, yet with the current gas prices Mudblosm is in crisis. Mudblosm has distributed over 240,000 pounds of food to people in need over the past 3 years. We are a 100% volunteer run organization; we get no grants or government funds and rely on monthly donations to continue our work. If everyone reading this could spare a $5 monthly donation that would ensure that we can continue to deliver food to those who need it most, like low-income seniors and single moms, cancer patients and people in recovery. We know times are tough for everyone, but a little help goes a long way for those that might not eat this week because we don't have the gas money to deliver food.

When Denise Woods from Pampered Pet Lodge heard MudBlosm needed help while SNAP benefits were suspended, she kindly went to Costco and filled her car with food to donate. Denise made a huge difference for those in need, and we cannot thank her enough.

The Pampered Pet Lodge provides personalized care for dogs and cats, including seniors, pets with special needs, and those with medical or behavioral challenges. Each stay is tailored to your pet’s unique needs, with medication management, post-operative care, and support for pets with anxiety or socialization challenges.

They also offer special accommodations for pets whose owners are temporarily hospitalized who are experiencing homelessness, at no cost, if space permit; helping keep animals safe and cared for until they can be reunited with their families. With so many people being affected by the suspension of SNAP benefits MudBlosm Connections is trying to help everyone we can. Below are some options to help us help others in need in our community.

Donate funds to MudBlosm Connections through the website mudblosmconnections.org, this helps with gas money to make deliveries or enables us to buy what we lack in donations.

Donate things that aren’t normally found at food pantries, toilet paper, dish soap, personal hygiene items, butter, dairy products, spices, flour, sugar, meat, fresh fruits and vegetables.

Donate grocery store gift cards.

Request MudBlosm blue bags for Bottle Drop and donate recyclable can and bottles. We can send them to you via mail then you can drop off at any Bottle Drop location. Please email us at [email protected] for bags.

Volunteer to help us help others by picking up and delivering food donations. Please visit the website if you are interested.
