Several of our Claybusters traveled to Fort Worth this weekend to compete in the annual Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Shooting Sports Competition. These boys shot a 100 bird sporting clays event, 50 bird Super Sporting event, and a 20 bird Snooker side event.
Senior division members attending included Kyler Terrell, Karson LeBeouf, Brentley Roy, Gomer Harrington, and Carson Clark.
Intermediate division member attending was Wyatt Belcher.
Wyatt Belcher placed in the top 20 intermediate division and went on to complete in the championship round. He earned a 5th place finish for the night and won $400!
Carson Clark participated in the AIM for Education Scholarship competition. After taking a 50 question test over information from the Sporting Clays Handbook and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Handbook, out of 75 seniors, he was a top 10 finalist. He advanced to a speech/interview round after shooting on Saturday, and he earned 4th place out of those finalists and won a $2000 scholarship.
