Something lovely is happening at Stage on Main this fall, and all of it comes back to Orange.
Michelle Andrews — a Mahar graduate who grew up here — is showing thirty-two of her oil paintings at Stage on Main, 17 South Main Street, from Wednesday, September 2 through December.
One hundred percent of every painting sold goes to the Orange Revitalization Partnership. Not a share of it. All of it.
Michelle's parents, Bob and Pat Andrews, were founding and lifelong board members of the Partnership, and she has set the show up this way because of them.
The paintings are $50 to $150, so this is a real chance to own one — and every dollar stays in Orange, funding the work you already know: the farmers' market, Riverfront Park, Starry Starry Night.
Meet the Artist — Saturday, October 3, 5 to 8 p.m. Free, and everyone is welcome. There will be food and wine from the New Salem General Store, and Michelle will be there all evening.

ORANGE - On Sunday, January 11, at 2pm, the “Terry, Matt and Ann Trio” is slated to perform their rhythmic renditions of early American blues and roots music at the ground floor venue of the First Universalist Church at 31 North Main Street. The free event will kick off the latest “Petit Concert” series of monthly concerts presented by Stage on Main and sponsored by the Orange Revitalization Partnership and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

The trio will make music on banjo, harmonica, bass, percussion and vocals. Terry Reed and wife Ann Reed, of Orange, and Matt Hickler, of Royalston, have shared musical stages for 35 years, in various combos, since the jamming heyday of the bygone Warwick Inn Tavern, where Hickler’s jugband chops and the Reeds’ rootsy rhythms first met.

The two-hour program will include time to socialize over refreshments. Although free, “donations are always appreciated,” according to organizers. This latest block of monthly concerts will run through May and feature a variety of performing artists.
