Mission Statement: HIRE works to maximize the skills and opportunities for formerly incarcerated and system involved youth and adults through employment, mentorship and community building. To realize the promise of our mission, we are committed to the following principles:

- Connect and unite Orange County stakeholders to support the reintegration of formerly incarcerated community members
- Use

research informed and data driven strategies grounded in equity, and justice.
- Lift the voices of formerly incarcerated and system-impacted people

Goals:
1. Serve as a linkage and educational source for reentry service providers, community members and agency partners.
2. Provide resources, employment and mentorship for system impacted people. HIRE is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Tax ID 93-2286210

Please join us in welcoming Ajaa Jackson as HIRE’s MSW Intern!

Ajaa is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Simmons University after a 13-year career in financial services marketing, where she led cross-functional teams and strategic initiatives. She brings strong skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and relationship building, along with a passion for helping others.

Her journey into social work is rooted in a commitment to maternal mental health and a desire to support individuals through care and counseling. Ajaa plans to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a focus on perinatal mental health.
