It so wonderful to see all the new likes and those reflecting on the tragic loss but loved memories of Jessica Lynn West!! Lauren was humbled and honored to take part in her memorial and Jessica will always hold a special place in our hearts here at Be Significant! This was one of her final posts and I truly believe it bears repeating!! Please, take time to listen, hear, not to reply but to truly hear!! You do not know when that simple gesture of truly listening will be the difference between life and loss. "Don't laugh at me," she wrote. "Don't call me names; don't get pleasure from my pain; in God's eyes we're all the same; some day we'll all have perfect wings." These are words from a moving song that was her personal pain as well.

Hello everyone! I wanted to update my friends on where I am in my journey! I am now fully involved in my college career! I adore my medical studies path, because I it affords me the opportunity to reach so many more of those in need. I am blessed to work with Staff Medics, LLC program that takes me throughout the US as a first responder while providing me with first hand experience and training. Music, Yes! It is still a passion and I am so blessed to have the pleasure of working with amazing professors in the music education department as well! This has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I auditioned for Chorale and am so blessed to now be a part of this amazing group! I am incredibly happy to have the opportunity to focus on my love of medicine but also keep moving forward with my music!!! Thank you all for being so supportive no matter where my path leads!! We still have a team here, who are so very passionate about our youth!! They are working with local youth organizations and will be soon be back in action with the new school year upon us! Although I can not be as active as I once was, the program is still VERY significant and ongoing.. changing lives!! Stay tuned for updates to follow! Have a Happy and Safe 2015-2016 School Year!! This is amazing!! This shows that anti-bully programs work!! We are so moved by these boys and their courage to step out and step up!! This shows that programs, such as this, WORK! Please support your local anti-bully programs! IT MATTERS!!

Protecting your kids from bullies is going to be a big topic today in Tallahassee. Lawmakers want stricter penalties in place to help crack down on the problem, making bullying a crime. What are your thoughts on the proposed bill? Do you think it will cut down on bullying?
