Dear Friends and Supporters of First Book-Orange County,

We have been incredibly honored to serve the Orange County community the last two years by providing new books to organizations such as Orangewood Children's Home Library, Boys and Girls Club of Stanton, Boys and Girls Club of Cypress, KidWorks, Rancho Santiago Community College District Early Head Start Program, Whittier Elementary School, Orange County Childhood Language Center, Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center, and Kinosh*ta Elementary School.

The FB-OC advisory board has decided to dissolve due to other commitments we personally have. We still support the mission of providing new books to kids in need. Please visit www.firstbook.org or email [email protected] to find out how you can get involved.

The many good works we achieved could not have happened without the support of Jessica Wells, Carolyn Gregg, Stacy Henry, Janine Pasternak, Ruth Piker, Non Wels, Bridgett Harris, Pam Swainston, Megan Jacobs, Kate Lockhart, and others. Thank you!

Best regards,
Robin Baldwin

Feeling somewhat emboldened, we reached out to the NOPL for a '10 best' list of Halloween books for kids, knowing such a selection must speak to a range of kids' age groups. We heard from Beyonka Wilson, who works at the Martin Luther King Library in the Lower 9th Ward (1611 Caffin Ave.)
