🐈 FORMER BARRIE STRAY IS HAPPY IN HER FOREVER HOME 🐈

We just received a wonderful update about former Ferndale Rd., Barrie, stray - Lily (formerly Dale). Last winter when we were trying to find a black cat that got out of a trap, we found Lily. 🥳

She was fostered in Midland by Jenny who lovingly and slowly broke down Lily's fear. So many of our cats need time to adjust to being back indoors, especially if they were dumped. ⏳ They need to learn to trust again.

Three-year-old Lily has turned into a lovebug. 💓💓She sleeps beside Jenny every night and sticks like glue to her throughout the day. Lily hits it off beautifully with her fellow felines, too. She loves to chase them and play with them. 🐭

Quite a change from living outdoors - a fabulous change! Check out this beautiful girl.

😻 LAGOON CITY KITTIES ARE THRIVING IN THEIR FOREVER HOME 😻

We SO love hearing updates on the kitties that have gone through our adoption program. 😀 Hermes (male tabby), Ocean (male black with white toe), and Vera (black with larger white chest patch) are three of those. They were feral born kittens who came into our care last summer.

Susan and her daughter saw their writeup and photos and applied to adopt two of them. 🖊 However, when they visited with them for over an hour, they simply had to take all three siblings. They just couldn't choose just two and felt strongly about keeping them together. We were thrilled! 🥳

Well, these kitties are now about 1 1/2 years old and are living the best life ever. They get entertained by watching the birds out the window, lounge in front of the fire on cool nights, play like crazy when the spirit moves them - especially Hermes and Ocean - and love their petting time - especially Vera, the cuddler. AND they are safe inside. 💯

💛PEPE IS STILL LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO LOVE HIM FOREVER. 💛

This sweet little man SO deserves a loving, forever home! We can't understand why no one has reached out to adopt Pepe.

He is 5 1/2 yrs old and in very good health. He is easy to feed - no complaints from him - and he accepts pets and scratches happily.

He won't sit in your lap - yet - but he WILL rub against your leg and look up at you adoringly. And when you give him love, he purrs and wins your heart.

Pepe will be very shy at first, but we promise that he will warm up. He will just need you to be patient with him and put him in a small space for the first little while. We can guide you through his first few months.

He is afraid of dogs and male cats, but we think he might be alright with an older, gentle female cat. Pepe was beaten up so many times by intact males in Balm Beach, so he isn't very open to males.

A quiet home would be the best for Pepe - no young children, please.

This friendly, black kitty has been frequenting a house on Douglas Dr Barrie
The family in the house has been feeding this kitty and, as of last week, has brought it inside. Though a little timid this kitty has allowed them to get close enough to pet. We have also scanned and there is no microchip.

🐇CAN WE GIVE PEPE A SPECIAL EASTER EGG BY THIS TIME NEXT WEEK? CAN WE FIND HIM HIS FOREVER HOME? 🐰

Pepe is a gentle, sweet, shy 5 ½ year old Balm Beach rescue. 😸While he lived outside, he was fed daily, and his kind feeder told us that Pepe was attacked constantly by other intact males. 😮 When he arrived in our care, he had numerous battle wounds and had to have teeth removed as well. The poor boy! 🥲

Naturally, being inside was something totally strange to Pepe. He allowed petting but was nervous. For a while, he was also depressed. ‍😿

When he went to Stephanie’s home to be fostered, his spirits started to pick up. Now, he goes to her and/or her children – in his own space only – for petting and tummy rubbing. 😺That is a HUGE step in Pepe’s socialization. He is still nervous about being outside the bathroom that he has made his safe space, but Stephanie feels that is because Pepe is afraid of her cat and her dog.

Pepe is a clean boy. He has never made a mess since he came inside. He faithfully uses his litter box. He has also been easy to feed. 😇

The ideal forever home for Pepe would be a very quiet 🏠 without another pet. We feel, however, that he might be alright with an older female cat, as long as she has a welcoming personality.

This sweetheart SO deserves a forever home. Once he settles in, we believe his socialization and confidence will continue to grow. We have had that experience with most of our rescues.

Hi everyone. It's Pepe. I'm the 5 1/2-year-old Balm Beach stray that Feline Fix rescued last summer. You have no idea how relieved, though frightened, I was when that happened. Since then, I have learned that life inside is so much better than what I experienced outside. 🌞Though I was fed daily by a kind lady, I lived in fear of other males; they picked on me day after day. 😿

But enough of my past. Right now, I am thinking about finding a forever home. 🏡That would be my pot of gold. I would never have to worry about anything ever again. What a dream life that would be! 😺

You need to know that I am a gentle, shy fellow. A quiet 🏠 would be best for me where I am the only 🐈. No 🐕 please. There is one in my foster home, and I am scared of him. A 🐦 or 🐟 would be ok, and I promise I won't go after them.

I love to be petted and have my belly gently rubbed. 😺You should hear me purr! It's my way of letting my foster Mom know how good that feels and how happy it makes me feel to be loved. I hope my forever parent(s) will love me like Stephanie does. I will definitely show my appreciation in return.

I'm not good - yet - at taking the first step to show my love, but I will try hard to gain more confidence once I am used to my forever person/people. Stephanie has been teaching me that being picked up shouldn't be seen as something scary. I am getting there, slowly but surely. 🐢

I am easy to feed, and I keep myself well groomed. Also, I have never had an accident outside of my litter box. Stephanie will tell you that I am a very clean cat.

I don't know what else to tell you about me. Stephanie says I am worth the time it may take for me to truly settle into my forever 🏠. I hope you agree. 🙏

I'm the 5 1/2 yr old Balm Beach stray who was attacked non-stop while I was outside. I am loving being inside and am hoping someone will adopt me.

I know I am shy. It will take me time to adjust to a new person and space, but I promise I am worth it. I just LOVE being petted and purr up a storm to show how happy I am. I will do the same with you if you adopt me, but it may take a while before I let my guard down. I hope you are ok with that.

I have mainly been living in Stephanie's bathroom because I feel safe there. She is working hard with me to get me used to being picked up and to try and get me brave enough to explore other rooms in her home. There is a dog in my foster home, though, and I am too afraid to go far.

I know you probably want a cat who is super outgoing who will sit in your lap and let you snuggle him/her, but I want you to know that I am willing to try those things. I just think it will take me time. I hope you are willing to be patient with me. I feel confident that I will come around with time.

✨️ EXCITING NEWS OF THE DAY - DESI AND DARCY HAVE FOUND THEIR FOREVER HOME! ✨️

We are thrilled to announce that former Elmvale colony rescues, 4 year old Desi and 3 year old Darcy are now in their forever home together. 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

Cassandra and David felt that Desi and Darcy would make the perfect addition to their 🏡. They already had an older cat but felt that she needed a buddy (or two). Since Desi and Darcy are wonderful with other cats of all ages 😻, Cassandra and David wanted to adopt them.

Desi and Darcy will have lots of stimulation, whether it be watching the wildlife out the window 🐇🦨🐦‍⬛or running on an exercise wheel and/or after toys.

It will take the pair a bit of time to adjust to their new surroundings, but with Cassandra and David's love 💖, patience, and experience with cats 😺, we know that Desi and Darcy will settle in and have a wonderful life ⭐️⭐️.

We want to thank and congratulate Cassandra and David for falling in love with and adopting our kitties 💞. May you have many years together.
