Thirteen years ago, in October 2013, Feline Fix was born out of a deep love for cats and a massive need in our community. We pioneered Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) in our region, serving a widespread area from Stayner to Brechin, and Huntsville to Bradford.

We helped people help the cats. Over the last 13 years, this mission has achieved massive success in reducing the outdoor cat population, rescuing feral cats, helping pregnant moms, and managing colonies. Together, we drove vital education on spaying and neutering, keeping pets safe indoors, and adapting to modern roaming bylaws. We were the pioneers of the north for TNR.

Now, the time has come for us to retire and officially close Feline Fix. We are passing on the torch.

We are thrilled to announce that our mission is continuing in excellent hands. 𝗙𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 is taking over the TNR work we did out of Barrie. They are based in the Orillia area and are ready to support you.

To ensure their success, we have officially transferred all of our traps, crates, and assets to them. Moving forward, they will also continue our traditional wallet and sock fundraisers!

🐈 FORMER BARRIE STRAY IS HAPPY IN HER FOREVER HOME 🐈

Please share.

We just received a wonderful update about former Ferndale Rd., Barrie, stray - Lily (formerly Dale). Last winter when we were trying to find a black cat that got out of a trap, we found Lily. 🥳

She was fostered in Midland by Jenny who lovingly and slowly broke down Lily's fear. So many of our cats need time to adjust to being back indoors, especially if they were dumped. ⏳ They need to learn to trust again.

Three-year-old Lily has turned into a lovebug. 💓💓She sleeps beside Jenny every night and sticks like glue to her throughout the day. Lily hits it off beautifully with her fellow felines, too. She loves to chase them and play with them. 🐭

Quite a change from living outdoors - a fabulous change! Check out this beautiful girl.

😻 LAGOON CITY KITTIES ARE THRIVING IN THEIR FOREVER HOME 😻

Please share.

We SO love hearing updates on the kitties that have gone through our adoption program. 😀 Hermes (male tabby), Ocean (male black with white toe), and Vera (black with larger white chest patch) are three of those. They were feral born kittens who came into our care last summer.

Susan and her daughter saw their writeup and photos and applied to adopt two of them. 🖊 However, when they visited with them for over an hour, they simply had to take all three siblings. They just couldn't choose just two and felt strongly about keeping them together. We were thrilled! 🥳

Well, these kitties are now about 1 1/2 years old and are living the best life ever. They get entertained by watching the birds out the window, lounge in front of the fire on cool nights, play like crazy when the spirit moves them - especially Hermes and Ocean - and love their petting time - especially Vera, the cuddler. AND they are safe inside. 💯

Enjoy your lives, Vera, Ocean, and Hermes!

💛PEPE IS STILL LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO LOVE HIM FOREVER. 💛

Please share.

This sweet little man SO deserves a loving, forever home! We can't understand why no one has reached out to adopt Pepe.

He is 5 1/2 yrs old and in very good health. He is easy to feed - no complaints from him - and he accepts pets and scratches happily.

He won't sit in your lap - yet - but he WILL rub against your leg and look up at you adoringly. And when you give him love, he purrs and wins your heart.

Pepe will be very shy at first, but we promise that he will warm up. He will just need you to be patient with him and put him in a small space for the first little while. We can guide you through his first few months.

He is afraid of dogs and male cats, but we think he might be alright with an older, gentle female cat. Pepe was beaten up so many times by intact males in Balm Beach, so he isn't very open to males.

A quiet home would be the best for Pepe - no young children, please.

Pepe has been neutered, defleaed, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $260. Please private message us if you are interested in adopting him and/or if you have any questions about him.

Reward $200.00 Hi Allandale residents. Miss "Meow Meow" needs your help. She is STILL missing. PLEASE take a moment to check your backyards, under your decks and around your property, perhaps your garage. She is hiding and frightened. She went missing at Broadmoor and Hillcrest between Little and Springhome and lives on Springhome. Please help this little lady get home by looking around your property.
If you have seen her please send us a dm.

IS THIS YOUR LOST BARRIE CAT?

Please share.

This friendly, black kitty has been frequenting a house on Douglas Dr Barrie
The family in the house has been feeding this kitty and, as of last week, has brought it inside. Though a little timid this kitty has allowed them to get close enough to pet. We have also scanned and there is no microchip.

If this is your cat or you know to whom he belongs, please private message us on this page.

Thank you.

🙏 I AM PRAYING THAT I FIND MY FOREVER HOME SOON. 🙏

Please share.

It's me - again. Pepe. I know I'm not a lap cat who is super outgoing and confident, but I SO appreciate being loved and will show you in my own way. 😻

No, I won't jump up beside you on the sofa; instead, I will rub against your legs and look up at you adoringly. 💛

No, I won't initially wander through your home or apartment as if I have lived there forever; 😨 instead, I will ask for your patience to help me realize that I am safe and loved. Then, I will start looking around my forever home - if you are with me. 😺😁

No, I won't do a lot of talking to you; 🔕 instead, I will quietly be your companion and purr when you rub my belly, scratch my ears/cheek, and pet along my back. 😻

No, I won't ever leave you; instead, I will stay with you and try to become more outgoing with every day that we spend together. 😺😀

No, I won't make a mess in my forever home; 😮 instead, I will use my litter box like a good boy. 😇

No, I won't complain about the food you feed me; 😾instead, I will gratefully accept it, knowing how lucky I am to be safe inside, protected, and loved. 😺

I am 5 1/2 and am in good health. Please consider adopting me. My adoption fee is $260. You can private message Feline Fix on this page to ask for an application. Be sure to give them your email address.

Thank you,
Pepe🐾

🐇CAN WE GIVE PEPE A SPECIAL EASTER EGG BY THIS TIME NEXT WEEK? CAN WE FIND HIM HIS FOREVER HOME? 🐰

Please share.

Pepe is a gentle, sweet, shy 5 ½ year old Balm Beach rescue. 😸While he lived outside, he was fed daily, and his kind feeder told us that Pepe was attacked constantly by other intact males. 😮 When he arrived in our care, he had numerous battle wounds and had to have teeth removed as well. The poor boy! 🥲

Naturally, being inside was something totally strange to Pepe. He allowed petting but was nervous. For a while, he was also depressed. ‍😿

When he went to Stephanie’s home to be fostered, his spirits started to pick up. Now, he goes to her and/or her children – in his own space only – for petting and tummy rubbing. 😺That is a HUGE step in Pepe’s socialization. He is still nervous about being outside the bathroom that he has made his safe space, but Stephanie feels that is because Pepe is afraid of her cat and her dog.

Pepe is a clean boy. He has never made a mess since he came inside. He faithfully uses his litter box. He has also been easy to feed. 😇

The ideal forever home for Pepe would be a very quiet 🏠 without another pet. We feel, however, that he might be alright with an older female cat, as long as she has a welcoming personality.

This sweetheart SO deserves a forever home. Once he settles in, we believe his socialization and confidence will continue to grow. We have had that experience with most of our rescues.

Please consider adopting Pepe. 🙏 We will happily guide you regarding how to get him to trust you. He has been neutered, defleaed, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $260. Please private message us with your email address if you would like us to send you an adoption application.
