🍎 ✏️ Last week our club attended the St. George German Public School's Meet the Teacher night and we hosted a BBQ to help solve the dinner time rush! Proceeds from the BBQ are donated back to the school to support students and educators in our school! And, we lower our prices for this event to help make things just a little bit more affordable when feeding the family on this special night. Thanks to all the teachers and school staff for inspiring the next generation of students! Here is to a great school year! 📚🦁

Today, we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. We pause to honour the survivors of the residential schools, the children who never returned home, and the families and communities impacted. We reflect on our role in the ongoing process of reconciliation while continue to listen and learn.

At a recent meeting we learned about the work that the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps are doing right here in St. George! St. George Onondaga Farms is one of six Tims Camps across Canada that provide life changing experiences and programs for 12-16 year old youth. Every summer over 500 youth come to Onondaga Farms and they run additional programming in the Spring and Fall seasons. Lion Chief Kris presented a donation to the St. George Tims Camp. Thank you to Laura, Sydney and Lauren for a great presentation!

🍁 On Saturday October 3rd, Tim Hortons Foundation Camps will be hosting their Taste of Fall Open House at the St. George Tim Hortons Camp at Onondaga Farms! Everyone is welcome to see what this camp is all about, how it supports youth, tour the grounds, and try some activities. The registration cost also include lunch. This is a great way to learn more about what is happening here in St. George! 🍁
