With over 23 years serving disabled veterans at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, Bill brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and heart to our organization. As a U.S. Army veteran and lifelong advocate for individuals with disabilities, his passion for person-centered care aligns perfectly with our mission.🪖

After retirement, Bill chose Toomey as a way to continue making a meaningful impact and we’re so glad he did.

Board Member Spotlight: Steve Thompson! 🎉

We're proud to highlight Steve Thompson, Board Chair of Toomey and President of Integrity Cost Consulting. Steve has served on the Toomey board for more than 3 years and have been a wonderful asset!

Steve brings 30+ years of experience in accounting, finance, and cost analysis, including 14 years as an entrepreneur. His professional expertise and thoughtful leadership help strengthen our organization and ensure we continue serving children and families effectively.

Steve’s connection to our mission is personal. Growing up alongside nine foster brothers over a ten-year period, he saw firsthand the impact that stable, supportive environments can have on young people. That experience continues to inspire his commitment to helping children and families in need.

In addition to his board service, Steve supports nonprofits through volunteer work, charitable giving, and pro bono cost validation services.

Fun Fact: Steve is the youngest of eight children!
