On National Airborne Day, Heroes on the Water honors the paratroopers who have served with courage, skill and a willingness to go wherever the mission required.

The history of the United States Airborne began on August 16, 1940, when members of the Army’s Parachute Test Platoon completed the nation’s first official military parachute jump. Their work established a capability that would go on to play an important role in American military history.

From the first volunteers who helped prove the concept to the generations of paratroopers who have followed, Airborne service has demanded extensive training, discipline and trust in the people serving alongside them.

Today, we recognize Airborne service members and veterans across the Heroes on the Water community and remember those who gave their lives in service.

Thank you to every paratrooper who has answered the call.

Sorry I didn't get any pictures from our event last Sunday except for this 1. If anybody else got pictures please send them to our email so we can get them posted. We were busy getting everything setbup for our first successful event that I totally forgot to take pictures of our participants, volunteers and all our gear out of the trailers.

Sometimes we need to just step away from it all and let nature help do our heeling.

Today we received the balance of our kayaks. We have a current inventory of 4 Jackson TakeTwo doubles that can be converted for solo paddling as well but would like to see some family members bring their youths out to enjoy nature just as well. We have several different PFDs and will fit a youth down to 50 lbs.
We have 1 Jackson Bite Angler for a solo
Just received today 5 Bonafide SS127 solo kayaks.
We are planning an event for first responders, law enforcement, military active duty or veteran status and their families.
The event we have scheduled and will be posting on EventBrite (as soon as I figure out how to post it) it will be held at Cayuga Lake State Park on Sunday July 19th. We will be there at 9:00 am to get everything set up and ready to do a briefing at 9:45 am and launching the kayaks at 10:00 am. Reserve a spot by getting a free ticket (again once I post the event on EventBrite) or send me an email at [email protected] for more information. We can't wait to Get the fish skunk off of these beautiful kayaks.
