Fue una gran oportunidad para respaldar su labor de acercamiento a nuestra comunidad guatemalteca y difundir nuestros servicios de asistencia y educación vial. Dejamos un mensaje muy claro: tras un percance, cualquiera puede necesitar apoyo, y nosotros representamos una alternativa gratuita que lleva cinco años trabajando sin descanso para informar y proteger a nuestra gente, sin importar su estatus legal, idioma o situación económica.

🇺🇸 ENG - Yesterday, we accompanied the Guatemalan Consulate during their visit to Fremont, hosted at Anita’s store and restaurant. It was a wonderful opportunity to support their outreach efforts within the Guatemalan community while promoting our free accident education and assistance services. Our message was clear: after an accident, anyone might need help, and we are a free resource that has worked tirelessly for five years to educate and protect our community, regardless of legal status, language, or economic background.

INFORMACION IMPORTANTE PARA NUESTRA COMUNIDAD:

NO SABES QUÉ HACER DESPUÉS DE UN ACCIDENTE DE AUTO?

Lo primero: respira y verifica cómo te sientes. Antes de bajarte del vehículo, asegúrate de que puedes mover brazos, piernas y cuello sin dolor intenso. Revisa también a tus pasajeros. Si alguien está inconsciente, sangra mucho, tiene dificultad para respirar o no puede moverse, llama al 911 inmediatamente y no lo muevas, a menos que exista peligro inmediato como fuego o humo.

Si puedes salir del vehículo de forma segura, aléjate del tráfico y ponte en un lugar protegido. Si el automóvil puede moverse y está obstruyendo la vía, oríllalo para evitar otro accidente. Después, toma fotografías y video de ambos vehículos, los daños, las placas, el área del choque y cualquier señal de tránsito cercana. Intercambia información de seguro y contacto con el otro conductor, sin importar quién creas que tuvo la culpa.

Aunque te sientas bien, es recomendable buscar una evaluación médica lo antes posible, ya que algunas lesiones pueden aparecer horas o incluso días después. También es importante conocer tus derechos y recibir orientación sobre los pasos a seguir. El reporte policial, la aseguradora, las reparaciones y la documentación pueden resultar abrumadores cuando todavía estás procesando lo ocurrido.
