450 miles is a lot of early mornings, tired legs, and choosing to keep going anyway. Some days will suck. I’ll still show up. 👣

I’m doing this for something bigger than me and I’m taking it one mile at a time 💪

Big training last weekend in the books for Unite NE 450 💪

Last weekend I logged 30+ miles getting ready to walk across Nebraska:

• 5 miles Friday
• 6.1 miles Saturday at the Leprechaun Chase ☘️
• 10 miles Sunday with the incredible 50 Mile March crew
• 5 miles Monday with the 5am rucking crew
+additional miles around my neighborhood
Plus plenty of step walks squeezed in between.

One thing I keep learning through all of this… the miles are always better when you’re surrounded by people chasing the same goals. The accountability, the conversations, the encouragement when your legs start to feel it & that’s what keeps you moving forward.

I’m determined to train hard and prove that I can walk 450 miles across Nebraska. More importantly, I want every woman and girl watching this journey to see what’s possible when you commit to something bigger than yourself.

This is just the beginning. Nebraska, we’re coming. 💛

Sometimes I think about the younger version of me. The girl who was tough but still unsure. The girl who carried more than she should have. The girl who just needed someone to look her in the eyes and say, “You matter. You’re capable. You’re going to be okay.”

Unite NE 450 is about showing up for her.

It’s about making sure the next generation of girls has support, real mentorship, and people who believe in them before they fully believe in themselves. It’s about stepping in early. Protecting their confidence. Reminding them they are strong and worthy and not alone.

If we want powerful women tomorrow, we have to care for young girls today.

That’s why I walk. That’s why this matters. 💛

Still processing how incredible Wednesday night was. 💛 🩵 ❤️

To be chosen by 100 Women Who Care Omaha as your Q1 recipient is an honor I don’t take lightly. Your collective generosity will directly fuel a mission that exists to lift up women and girls.

Unite Nebraska 450 is one woman walking 450 miles — but it has never been about one person. It’s about all of us. It’s about the women who carry families, communities, and futures on their shoulders every single day. And now, because of you, we can carry them too.

I believe that the difference between a dream and a decision is just a simple question: “Why not?”

That question is the heartbeat of this movement.

It reminds me that courage doesn’t wait for permission, and that you don’t need a perfect plan or perfect timing to take the first step.

It’s about choosing faith over fear, movement over hesitation, and possibility over doubt.

Bravery isn’t always loud for women. Most days, it’s a quiet, steady voice that shows up when no one’s watching — the one that says: Why not me? Why not now?
