Our preschool campers enjoyed a special reading session with Miss Jody from La Vista Public Library, who brought stories to life through interactive reading and fun activities. Today, our young innovators took part in an exciting Robotics and Engineering Challenge, assembling and testing a smart robotic vehicle. Under the guidance of instructors, campers followed diagrams and identified components to bring their robotic car to life. Through this hands-on learning, youth gained experience in engineering design, teamwork, and problem-solving.

𝐀𝐈𝐅𝐒 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 youth traveled to Gifford Farm for an exciting educational field trip focused on agriculture, animals, and environmental learning.

Campers explored the farm, learned about animal care, and interacted with goats, sheep, rabbits, and other farm animals. Through hands-on activities and guided tours, youth gained a better understanding of where food comes from and the importance of agriculture in our daily lives.

The experience encouraged curiosity, responsibility, and respect for animals while providing a fun and engaging outdoor learning opportunity.

Field trips like this are part of 𝐀𝐈𝐅𝐒'𝐬 commitment to helping youth learn through exploration, discovery, and real-world experiences.

Did You Know?

As part of World Refugee Day Omaha 2026, the Omaha Refugee Task Force Health Committee organized a health fair and will be offering a variety of free health services and screenings for attendees, including:

• Dental screenings
• Vision screenings
• School sports physicals
• Blood pressure and diabetes screenings
• Vaccine record reviews and immunization information
• Vaccine record reviews and immunization information

Medical providers will also be available to review screening results, answer questions, and help connect attendees with follow-up care if needed.

Join us on Saturday, June 20, from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM at the Joslyn Art Museum for this free celebration featuring cultural performances, food, community resources, art activities, and more!
